Video: Jaren Sina at LeBron James Skills Academy and Cancer Research Classic

Dylan Burkhardt

John Beilein watched 2013 guard Jaren Sina on Tuesday and will be evaluating him throughout the spring. Here’s footage of Sina from both the LeBron James All-American Camp and Cancer Research Classic last year. Thanks to City League Hoops and Ty Kish for providing the footage.

He looks like a solid player who would fit in well as a combo guard for us.  Still not seeing the consensus top 100 player though.

This kid was rated as one of the top performers at Lebron on espn. For what I have read he is tough as nails. Coached by his dad who played high major ball. Rivals new jersey has him as the number 1 player in the junior class in the whole state of NJ. Theres great teams tgere. So this kid is doing something right. What are we looking for derrick rose. Dont see consensus top 100 player. This kid is going to be a great addition for us.

Rivals has him #90 and ESPN #93.

I think Espn has him at 53

Right. His grade is 93, ranking #53.

Really sees floor. Great change of speed stuff.

Looks like a 6’4″ Stauskas. Like the passing ability a lot.

    • A2JD

He’s listed at 6’2″.  He looks like a slower Bobby Hurley but there are some nice passes in the highlight package there.

He’s exactly what we need – a combo guard who leans more toward the point.  I’d feel alot better about our PG position in 2013 and forward with both Walton and Sina on the roster.  I’d feel even better if Burke stayed but the odds are certainly against that.
