I realize that Wofford plays slow, which makes M want to value possessions. However, they keep tossing it away anyway. I don’t want them to play fast, but I’d like to see urgency. Not because they’ll lose this one, but all there games down the stretch have been close. It might be nice to rest.

  • mstein23

We’ve got to find some rhythm here, or this could get stressful. Feels like the Illinois B1G game. Letting them hang around.

  • Tony DeMaria

Jesus what happened to this team?

  • guestavo

Irvin should not be out there. Nik or Caris and a high ball screen. When did we forget our bread and butter?

  • Dustin Stone

I know the offense revolves around running around screens and moving the ball around the horn…But what I wouldn’t give for some classic pick and roll action with LeVert having the ball in his hands!

  • Rich74

Wow we got a lucky call there on the block.

  • jemblue

    Finally, the senior comes through.

  • MLaw

That was a miserably bad call. Morgan has experienced a few of those.

  • Tony DeMaria

cant hit a jumper to save our lives

  • MechE

Next season, block/charge calls to be decided by random number generator

    • MGoTweeter

      It would be more consistent

    • mstein23

Should just do alternating possession to keep it even.

  • http://www.umhoops.com/ Dylan Burkhardt

Michigan is 3-of-15 from the floor in the second half.

    • kam

this has been a trend.. go cold for LONG stretches in games… our defense cant keep us the lead when our offense dies

  • Rich74

Can we please start making some shots. I don’t want to get out my baby aspirin.

  • Dustin Stone

LeVert-GR3 pick and roll/pick and pop….GIVE IT TO ME JOHN!

  • guestavo

I love GR3 but he can’t have a higher usage or number of shots than Nik or Caris.

    • jemblue

Yeah, he’s definitely cooled off. Time to let someone else take over.

      • guestavo

He’s just not dynamic enough to use that many possessions. He can get his but he isn’t going to facilitate like our other two wings.

  • jemblue

    Nik needs to take charge.

  • KG

this has turned into a masonry convention

  • andrew

Michigan was at its best in the middle of that big run when they mixed 3 point shooting with drives to the bucket. I feel like Levert isn’t finding room and Nik isn’t getting into the lane as much. The ratio seems off of late. At least you can get fouled if you take it to the bucket.

    • kam

people are keying on caris trying to stop his drives

  • kam

    GO GET IT GLENN!

  • MGoTweeter

Really? No one has a broom?

  • Rich74

Isn’t there another basketball in the arena?

    • kam

u can’t play with it up there

      • Epicrapbattlechem

You can’t play with it up there!

        • kam

          huh

          • Epicrapbattlechem

You’re not the boss of me!

        • Rich74

No, to knock it down with.

  • Dustin Stone

    I like the mentality Nick

  • Tony DeMaria

They are begging poor GRIII to shoot 3’s

  • kam

    HUGEEE

  • MGoTweeter

    Finally. Big shot caris

  • Chezaroo

What is their PPG right now?

    • Tony DeMaria

It was 1.15 at halftime, probably a lot worse now. Sorry I don’t have updated numbers

  • jemblue

We will end up winning by 20, which will be kind of funny given how ugly it’s actually been.

    • MLaw

No player or coach will celebrate this game win or lose. Lots of work to do. Either in Milwaukee or Ann Arbor

      • jemblue

Not sure where you got the idea I thought they’d be celebrating. We should have been able to clear our bench long ago and instead we’re playing starters heavy minutes.

        • MLaw

I don’t. I was agreeing with you. Sorry, should have been more clear. This has been the ultimate ugly game.

  • Chezaroo

PPP for Wofford right now is what?

    • http://www.umhoops.com/ Dylan Burkhardt

      .7

      • Chezaroo

        Wow

    • Tony DeMaria

Is it in the negatives yet?

  • Tony DeMaria

How are we so bad at things like catching rebounds right to us tonight? Comedy of errors

  • jemblue

We have been horrible on the break today.

    • Tony DeMaria

One thing I’ve noticed this year is that UM never looks for another guy when they are on a fast break. The lead guy always tries to take it in. On that play there wasn’t a trailer, but in general there has been. Caris does this all the time, but most of the time he has such a sick hop step that he’s able to convert or get to the line but not tonight.

      • guestavo

Yeah.. other guys are trying to lead the break.

  • Dr_ZC

Jeez, we are really sloppy everywhere today.

  • MGoTweeter

Ugh. That sequence summed up this game. Michigan misses a layup, wofford misses an open three and michigan bobbles the rebound out of bounds.

    • kam

      yup

  • Tony DeMaria

    Last 2 opponents are a combined 3-36 from 3.

    • kam

      both have missed good looks

      • Tony DeMaria

        agreed…we’ve gotten really lucky

  • MLaw

Survival woo. Glad we got that out of the way.

  • Rich74

A win is a win is a win.

  • MGoTweeter

Not gonna be a pretty win but survive and advance.

  • Chezaroo

Who is everybody wanting to play next, just for opinions?

    • Tony DeMaria

Arizona State, but I am ok with either.

    • Rich74

      Delaware

      • Chezaroo

        LOL

      • guestavo

Delaware is significantly better than Wofford.

        • kam

          yup

        • Rich74

Yeah, if we had played Delaware today we would be crying in our beer right about now.

          • Tim

Ridiculous comment. Not our best game but that means we would struggle with a different bad opponent? We were in total control of tonight’s game start to finish.

      • Rich74

Actually Texas. They are playing as poorly as we have the last few games.

      • Tony DeMaria

        Followed by Harvard please

        • guestavo

Top 50 in offensive and defensive efficiency. MSU does not have an easy road.

    • guestavo

      Texas

    • kam

      im not sure

    • MGoTweeter

Havnt seen a ton of either. Seems like Texas is the more talented team overall but asu might have the best player. Their profiles are pretty similar so I will choose asu because they are a little lower in offensive efficiency and michigan can hopefully defend one guy ok. Plus they played in the worse conference

      • Chezaroo

        Interesting comments by Jahii

      • guestavo

ASU has the best offensive and defensive player. Bachynski is the best rim protector in college and we’ve been ripped by streaky guards like Carson and Marshall all year.

        • MGoTweeter

Texas’ overall size worries me more from a defensive perspective than a couple of streaky guards. But I don’t really care that much either way. I think Texas is probably the better team but they are pretty similar

          • guestavo

Carson is a probable first round pick for a reason and Marshall torched us when he played at PSU. It’s close.

  • Dustin Stone

Welllll now that’s over with…Hopefully we wake up in time for the next round!

  • Dr_ZC

A win is a win, but we better get our a$$ in gear and play like there is no tomorrow in our next game. Ball was not moving at all on offense. Too many individual efforts. This is not Michigan basketball.

  • Rich74

Charles says we played terrific? Very workman like? What game did they see?

    • Chezaroo

He was looking in his wallet

  • David Remmler

Rough game but it’s a win. It’s probably good that Michigan didn’t play it’s best game. They won’t be overconfident in the next round. And I liked the overall defensive effort and GR III’s aggressiveness. Now, they need to clean up the TO’s and move the ball around more.

  • camblue

What are the options for what time we play on Saturday?
