Michigan faces off with Minnesota at the Crisler Center this evening in hopes to move one game closer to a Big Ten Championship. The Wolverines topped the Gophers in their Big Ten opener roughly two months back, but will face a Minnesota team desperate for a quality win to send it to the Big Ten Tournament.

Jim Jackson and Eric Collins will handle broadcasting duties for the Big Ten Network with tip-off scheduled for 6:06 p.m.

So Michigan clinches a share of the title, but do they clinch the #1 seed in the BTT yet?

    • mistersuits

If Wisconsin wins out, Michigan loses out and Iowa ties for third place Michigan will get the 2 seed.

      • Tony DeMaria

that’s the only way? I was starting to do the math and I was getting a headache from figuring out 3rd place tiebreakers for Michigan/Wisconsin tie. Thanks

        • mistersuits

Iowa is only top tier team Wisconsin has advantage over 2-0 vs michigans split.

          • Tony DeMaria

Gotcha. So a Michigan win, Wisconsin loss or Iowa loss clinches #1 seed. Michigan win or MSU AND Wisc loss clinches a solo Big Ten title

      • rlcBlue

Provided OSU doesn’t also tie for third. So, it’s Wisconsin wins out, Michigan loses out, Iowa wins out, MSU loses out, and OSU loses to Indiana. Don’t ask what the KenPom probabilities are on that scenario…

’89 natty champs sang The Victors postgame with the ’14 B1G champs! Need video ASAP

  • guestavo

With all of the ranked teams losing today, maybe Kenpom will finally rank us ahead of OSU?

    • guestavo

Unbelievable… they are still ranked above us lol

    • Ben

Nope lol. updated kenpom still has us behind them.

  • jakelam2116

Those falling today who were within 2/3 seeds of Michigan: SLU, Cincy, UK, Creighton, MSU, Texas, Louisville

    • jakelam2116

      And maybe ISU

      • Ben

I think at this point if we can make it to the big ten tourny final we should be a 2 seed if we win the regular season outright.

      • rlcBlue

        And Syracuse…

  • jakerblue

I didn’t watch the MSU game but just read a recap, sounds like they were finally on the wrong end of a clock screwup (on their own home court)

    • Don’t think so? What clock screw up?

      • jakerblue

The shot clock violation that nullified a Harris steal and layup, Izzo apparently slammed his fist on the scorers table

        • Ah yeah.. Almost positive that was the right call. He was mad because the table didn’t signal a substitution.

          • jakerblue

Quote from ESPN article, “Our own people screwed up our own clock,” he said.
Sorry not trying to be argumentative, didn’t watch the game just thought it was nice they were finally on that end if it were the case

          • Not blaming you, blaming Izzo then. He’s wrong IMO.

          • jakerblue

Izzo being wrong is just as nice. :)

          • Ben

Wait what?! Izzo complained about something he really shouldn’t have! Don’t believe it.

          • kam

He was wrong.. The clock hit zero

  • jakerblue

Love the having big balls miming after the dagger threes, feel like that was started by Dakich during MSU game
