Unparalleled display of team athleticism there. . . not sure any other team in the country can out-rival us in that sense.

    • JDR

You’re not kidding. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. The thing that kills me is that they seem to be having so much damn FUN at the same time.

  • CDeSana

Was that a shot by Nik or a missed alley oop try?

  • CDeSana

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • DB

    Oh sweet jesus. GRIII!

  • Mattski

Really is a bit of a coming out for McGary.

    • Stu Cazzo

      Loving Mitch’s game today.

    • http://www.umhoops.com/ Dylan Burkhardt

      Physically dominating this game.

  • Wayman Britt

Burke just leaves another opponents jock on the floor

  • JDR

I was only eight for the fab five so I don’t really remember. How does this team compare with that one?

    • eddieben

Starting to become quite comparable in terms of excitement factor.

    • Wayman Britt

Not quite there yet, but getting close. Fab five had 3 top 10 first round NBA draft picks.

    • CDeSana

Too early in the season to tell but what I will say it has been that long since an honest M fan could say our team has more pure talent than the majority of the teams they will play.

  • DB

GRIII always seems to have good games that seem quiet. This game is not quiet.

  • Mattski

Comparisons are never apples-apples, but you can’t help noticing that Iowa took Indiana to the wire the other day. . .

    • Alex

Yeah but that was in Iowa as you pointed out. Our team will be tough to beat and teams are going to have to bring an A Plus game to do it.

Regardless, this team is so fun to watch and is definitely one of the top teams in the nation.

  • Mattski

Is Morgan getting dinged by the refs or is he struggling a little here, or both?

    • Wayman Britt

I think he is a little frustrated and is getting caught by refs.

  • DB

Maybe they should plug his left nostril every game

  • http://www.umhoops.com/ Dylan Burkhardt

Double double for Burke, already has 10 assists with 8 minutes to play.

  • Mattski

    Officially unreal.

  • Stu Cazzo

Much better defensive performance in the second half as well.

  • JDR

The balance of enthusiasm and discipline they play with is just unbelievable.

  • http://www.umhoops.com/ Dylan Burkhardt

Lead up to 32, 82-50 with 5:32 to play.

  • Wayman Britt

Even though Iowa is getting beat bad, I still think they will surprise some top teams in the Big Ten.

  • DB

I don’t know if Canada would appreciate changing their flag colors. Although they’re much more relaxed about their flag than us.

    • Wayman Britt

I do know the students ask Nik if it was okay to change the colors to maize and blue and he said it was okay.

  • JDR

You bring a layup, we bring a dunk. You bring a jumpshot, we bring a three. That’s the Michigan way.

    • Scott Kremkow

      I love it, JDR

  • maxwell’s demon

kenpom is gonna love this one

  • DB

When starters left, points per possession was basically 1.5. That’s against Kenpom’s number 31 defense. That is insane.

  • DB

In other crazy stats. Trey Burke: 19 points (7 of 10), 12 assists, 1 turnover.

    • http://twitter.com/NextLevelVideo Vincent Wortmann

even crazier is the fact that he started 0/3

  • JDR

I…don’t want this game to end.

  • Mattski

    Gaudy.

  • Scott Kremkow

I have been watching UM hoops for around 37 years as i am a 47 year old lifelong fan and Alumnus. This is the best Michigan team since at least the Fab Five. Thats 20 years. It is such a pleasure to watch them play. They are good. very good. They may be the best Michigan team i have ever seen. They are a threat to the final four. I remember the ’76 team that ran up against the 32-0 Indiana team that beat us to win the tournament. I was in school ’84-’88 and was there for the Roy Tarpley years, I met Gary Grant. there was the Glen Rice championship in ;89. The Fab Five years. This team is as good as any of them. if not, they are close very very close. I cant compare them to the Cazzie Russell ’60s teams. How gaudy can their record be? 4 losses? 5? 6?? Less than four?? Such a joy to watch them.
