Michigan makes the cut for Cameron; fall visits heating up

imageClass of 2013 (Hudson Catholic, NJ) forward Reggie Cameron officially trimmed his list to seven schools this afternoon. Cameron’s updated list includes UConn, Georgetown, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Miami, Seton Hall and Michigan. Adam Zagoria first tweeted the news.

Cameron has been active on the recruiting trail in recent weeks. The 6-foot-7 shooter recently returned from trips to UConn, Seton Hall and Georgetown. Cameron will also begin taking official visits this fall as he continues the recruiting process.

Cameron emerged as one of the nation’s top shooters while playing with the NJ Playaz on the summer AAU and EYBL circuit. The combo forward has a quick release and put up large scoring totals at nearly every event he played. Cameron is rated as a top 100 recruit by ESPN (65th) and Rivals (84th).

Fall visits heating up

A number of Michigan targets are planning visits throughout the coming weeks. Devin Booker will visit Mississippi State this weekend and Missouri the next. Keita Bates-Diop will travel to Ohio State on September 8th and Michigan State on September 15th, per his AAU coach. Columbus native Jae’Sean Tate is expected on campus at Ohio State this weekend, as first reported by Dave Telep. 2015 guard Prentiss Nixon will travel to Iowa on September 22nd and visit Marquette for Midnight Madness (Oct. 12).
