Video: Inside Michigan’s Media Day Practice

Dylan Burkhardt

Michigan opened the doors to an hour of its practice on Monday afternoon to give reporters a first look at the 2016-17 team. The practice didn’t feature much beyond simple drill work and shooting drills, but it still provided a¬†first look at the 2016-17 team.

Here’s a compilation of video clips from Monday’s hour-long open practice session.

Looks like X and DW have a healthy competition going already.

    Austin Davis’ lateral quickness <<<<.
He would get shook by a head fake.

Duncan looked better in that drill, though. DJ still stiff and upright in his short clip.

Duncan did look better. And I think Wagner looks like he’s ready to take over. In my view any chance for the team to really succeed this season comes down to him, he and Irvin. Walton will contribute solidly, and the push from X may goose him to greater glory; Duncan hopefully holds up deeper into the season. But Irvin has to play healthy and confidently, and Moritz has to show NBA quality if this team is to surprise.

Davis was really struggling to stay in front of Teske,

    X is uncommonly quick

Good to see X looking promising out there. Irvin looked a little quicker. I think he could have a big year.

I dunno but i think Watson is going to out play his incoming rank js.
