Love to see the reserves get their first career points.

Much improved effort on D today. Don’t know if the numbers will reflect that but I thought the intensity on that side of the court was much better.

Only complaint I really had is the lack of an offensive role for Mitch. There is simply no way Morgan & Walton should match or exceed Mitch in terms of shot total.

Couldn’t agree more. Seemed like a good opportunity to run a few plays thru Mitch… Especially up 40 points. Good bounce back win tho.

Watching the second half via mgovideo and a couple things worthy of note.

First is that yes GR3 is a crazy athlete but I think Irvin has more upside as a package. He handles the ball better, shoots as good if not better, is more able to get his own shot off the dribble and plays way better on ball defense as he stays very low.

The two big line up where both play down low on the two blocks provides for far better rebounding on both ends of the court. An offense that runs a 3 man motion at the top and the two bigs below could be something worth exploring.

Yes it was against Coppin State but both Horford and JMo did a nice job of staying in the lo post opposite the shooter for great rebounding position. This also allows for dump offs on dribble drives.
