    Luke Kinnard?

    • storm33

      not sure he’s top-25 talent

    • geoffclarke

I agree…of course I haven’t seen many of the 2015 players’ film, but Kennard certainly seems like he’s got a complete game/skillset. Combine that with decent athleticism and I’m surprised he isn’t in there. Oh well…as we all know rankings are sometimes inaccurate plus there’s a long way to go for these youngsters until college.

      • Steve2081

They probably have him at 26. :)

  • A2JD

Are we still recruiting Sina? I thought that with Albrecht and Walton coming in and Irvin running some point this spring that another PG might be put off until 2014.

I do have to say that I like to see so many low numbers by players we are targeting, capped off with the #1 by Towns Jr.’s name! Moving on up!!!

    • geoffclarke

We may be able to skip on a PG altogether in 2014…maybe stay in contact with some JUST IN CASE Walton blows up (I’m not even necessarily sure Burke won’t stay a third or even fourth year) his freshman year and desides to bolt (hopefully unlikely, but at the rate we’re going…) Anyway, we’ll need bigs in ’14. Then we can go HARD after Edwards in ’15 (not surprised at his ranking)…of course half the B1G will be going after him as well as some of the other national powers.

are we just not recruiting #5 in the country 2013 G James Young from Troy?

    • Not sure how many times we can say it, there are serious academic issues there. If he gets them resolved, expect Kentucky to offer and he’s basically said that he’ll commit there.

      • storm33

Then maybe change him from target to former target on the 2013 prospects page.

        • We don’t really have a way to move kids off the target list until they commit somewhere else without deleting the whole profile.

          • umfan32

Dylan, how high are we on Woodson’s list?

  • Paul

Does anyone know what the new grading scale is for ESPN recruiting (ie the score accompanying each recruit’s listing)?

  • geoffclarke

Is it just me, or is Irvin underrated in most ALL of the recruiting sites? I would rank him at least as high as Walton. We’ll see how he does this summer and I’m sure he’ll have a huge high school season. I guess it doesn’t matter, other than it’s nice to see our recruits ranked highly and for something to brag about to our rivals.

    • A2JD

I agree. I’ve been really impressed with the clips I’ve seen and expected him to crack the top 50 when the rankings were updated.

      • DingoBlue

I also concur, Irvin is likely the best recruit we have in 2013, and that’s saying something. I remember that there was a report some time back of one scouting service thinking he was a top 40 type. I guess I was kinda thinking that would be about his ranking around now.

reggie cameron coming in at 67 is comforting to see…………i can’t believe that a shooter would be ranked that highly unless he offers more than what we are hearing/seeing…….good on him

  • SamGoBlue

Is Jae’Sean Tate really only 6’3 or is that a misprint? I know he has been described as sort of a tweener and perhaps a guard/forward hybrid, but I thought he was listed closer to 6’7 than 6’3. That being said. I am confident he will be picking up an offer June 15 with the way he has reportedly been playing and with this high ranking coming in. Also could help that he is a former teammate of Caris LeVert and current teammate and classmate of football recruit Taco Charlton.

This is the first I’m hearing about Towns… but then again I haven’t been keeping up with my umhoops posts like I should’ve over the past few months. Are we a serious destination for him?

    • FGCU Maize Rage

Nevermind… just saw the post about him. I laughed out loud at how he dominated those kids inside and out. He reminds me of when I would create a player in the video games and max out all of his skills and height haha. Wow.

      • SamGoBlue

Yeah, the kid is a ridiculous talent. I’m not getting my hopes up for him right now, but it sure would be something if we are in it til the end for him.

  • TKWolverine

Question: Do any other coaches besides Beilein follow the NABC guidelines re. waiting until June 15 to offer high school sophomores? Just curious…
