when was the last time Michigan shot like this from 3?

  • M C

    STU!!!!! Is he really back???

    • All it takes is Dylan doing a post on his shooting struggles to bring him out of it! :-P

      • Wayman Britt

yeah, maybe a post on Vogrich this week

      • Hey now… I posted about Smotrycz playing well and he put out a career night too :-)

  • Wayman Britt

    Burke is the man.

  • MGoTweeter

    18 turnovers is disgusting

  • jaisdaddy

Here is my question, i’m a big Coach B fan but i have to question why they haven’t been setting up plays for Smotz when Oakland has LLP guarding him with 4 fouls?

  • D9ImFine

No need to get cute… we are better team we need to play D and execute.

  • M C

Very nice second half guys….I knew you had it in you! Great game by Smot and Stu! Good to see them both have much better game today! Guess I’ll be drinking tonight, but in a good way! ;) Go Blue from Chicago!

  • Mikebainbridge20

wow Indiana up 8 on Kentucky WOW

  • Wayman Britt

Must give Oakland University credit.  They will make the tournament.  I see why Beilein does not want to play them.  It is a cannot win scenario for UM.

  • MGoTweeter

well this was not perfect but apart from the last ten minutes of the first half, the team played pretty well especially on offense.  Lots of things to work on for defense and just need to cut down on silly turnovers.

  • D9ImFine

Ya Know Oakland is very similar to MSU in terms of skill players they really need to figure out how to get there man-to-man tight.  That can cause us some issues against those guys.

    • Failing to see those similarities….

      • D9ImFine

hmmm Appling,Trice,Wood can all get to the basket and shoot it one big in the middle with Nix or Payne.  Lets of Dribble Drive and Reverse action from the wings very similar bro.

        • Eh… I’m much more worried about stopping MSU on the offensive glass than off the dribble drive. Oakland was irrelevant on the offensive glass. MSU is not gonna shoot many threes either. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there :-)

        • MGoTweeter

gotta agree with Dylan here, I don’t see many similarities between the two offenses.  Hamilton is much better off the dribble than any of the MSU guards, but MSU is much better up front than anything Oakland had.  MSU’s best offense this year has been a missed shot.

  • M C

So, here’s a question: When was the last time that Michigan had 3 players with atleast 20 points!!?? That’s pretty impressive and VERY high scoring for this offense!

lol….loosing your touch there, Dylan! That took about 10 seconds, I’m disappointed! lol ;) Thanks man!

      • For those of you interested, Michigan played Bowling Green, and the 3 in double figures were Daniel Horton, LaVell Blanchard, & Bernard Robinson Jr.

Dudes: maybe let’s not lose it when the team struggles through parts of the game? That was an unseemly display by some posters there at halftime.

  • jaisdaddy

If and that is a big IF… Smotz and Stu can play halfway as good as they did tonight this team will be able to hang with the upper tier of the big 10… The one concern i take away from this game is the back up PG… Eso is not the answer, i sat and watched and waited for Eso to get ripped and it happened twice in one series… I’m hoping that they are continuing to work with Brundidge to take those back up PG minutes, reason i think he’ll be a better option is because he can dribble and attack the hoop like Burke was doing all day…

    • Mattski

We may have a couple of easier games coming up, with some chances for Brundidge to get PT. That said–and I have been a big booster of his–there’s gotta be a reason that, for now, he’s the fourth man off the bench at PG.

      • MGoTweeter

he really has not looked comfortable out there even in garbage time.  I do not think he has the handle right now to play PG and his defense might not be up to the level of an Eso or Vogrich at this point.  Way to early to be concerned about him, but it would be nice to get him some extended early run in a game sometime before Big Ten play.

With Oakland out of the way, it’s looking pretty good for us to be 12-2 and still in the top 20 on January 5th when we go to Bloomington.

Where we will definitely NOT be the favorites.

    • maxwell’s demon

Jordan Hulls must be the best shooter in the country

    • rlcBlue

Although, checking the schedule, I see that our visit to IU comes after they open at Sparty and then host the Bucknuts; they might be a little beat up and discouraged by then…

    • Mattski

Gotta solve that Bloomington thang sometime.

      • Mattski

Ha! Hadn’t seen the just beat Kentucky! Wow.

      • I’ll do my best to help make that happen. I’ll be in Bloomington for the game.
