Has the 3 point line for women been moved back to be the same as the men’s line?  If not, why is there no women’s line on the new floor?

    • um… who cares?

      just kidding :) Sorta.

    • SamGoBlue

Yeah, the three-point line is the same for both now I believe

Awesome, awesome news. The fact that we are the only Big Ten team on the list says a lot about where the program is now.

We get to show off the new renovations on national tv

  • SamGoBlue

This is absolutely fantastic news. This creates a very positive vibe for our program by putting it on the national spotlight, and also helps the Maize Rage tremendously.

If only there were a way to have Gameday in Ann Arbor without having Bilas or Phelps there.

aside from bilas’ article ripping beilein at the beginning of his first year, which i think he has gone out of his away to “apologize” for (without actually apologizing, but always talking about how great beilein is, etc.), bilas is one of the best analysts espn has, in any sport.

      phelps is an idiot.

      • I agree, seeing a little bit of Bilas on Twitter makes me dislike him significantly less than I did before.

Bilas was Amaker’s teammate and was doing all he could to defend Amaker and the state he left the program in (i.e., saying UM’s poor record Beilein’s first year wasn’t all Tommy’s fault).  As soon as that was in the past, he’s been pretty pro-Beilein, and I expect he will continue to be as JB runs the kind of program Bilas appreciates.  Bilas is a smart guy.

“GameDay is scheduled to stop in Ann Arbor on February 18th to watch the Wolverines host Ohio State.”

Does this schedule date means that UM’s Conference schedule has been announced-somewhere?

    • Nick

yeah it seems the conference schedule must be finalized but just not released publicly.  Don’t know why they release it so late.  Football has their conference schedules posted years in advance.

I’m bummed this is happening the season after I graduate, but at least we’re on the way up! Those renovations to Crisler are gonna look fantastic on ESPN

there are now charge arches under the hoop? is that going to be similar to the NBA where you can’t stand directly under the hoop and get a charge called?

    • SamGoBlue

That’s correct. The rule was still in effect last year, they just decided to have half-circles painted on the courts now so that it is less of a judgment call for refs.
