Great stuff. Is it just me, or does the competition look a little weak though?

Portage is 3-3. Not a good team, but not a terrible team.

They actually beat GRobIII’s Lake Central team by 8 in this game though.

Lake Central is 3-4. They do play good competition throughout the year though.

Obviously G-III can shoot, passes the ball decently and he moves his feet pretty well defensively. The one area I couldn’t tell how skilled he is, was ball-handling ? Can he beat elite defenders off the dribble ? He’s very comfortable shooting basketball. Nice video.

Looks like he handles the ball pretty well to me. He still has two years to work on it too. Plus we really shouldn’t need him to come in and be a star right away.

I really like his smooth shot and his jumping ability. Many great H.S. long ball shooters have a tough time in college because they are use to shooting set shots – no with the GR III in this game.

I would watch the video and then attempt an informative and/or witty comment, but my PC is such crap it just can’t handle it. This is sad for a comp. sci major.

  • The future is bright for Michigan basketball, that’s for sure. Happy holidays, everyone.

I have found that youtube clips posted here play choppy on my PC for some reason, but if I go to watch them at the Youtube site, they flow much better. I’m not sure why that is. I’m using Mozilla.

Robinson does seem to have a nice shot (well, we didn’t see the misses). I’m looking forward to seeing how he develops before and after coming to Michigan.

Odd. This one is kind of weird as it momentarily pauses after each clip. Maybe try pausing the highlights on the sidebar? Do the vimeo videos struggle too?

    • As far as the shots go— He has one of the smoothest and most consistent strokes I have seen this season from Mid-Range to the three point LINE..I want to see him extend it a little.

  • Bluebufoon

The videos from the U-M site hesitate constantly– I don’t understand why that is. Don’t have a problem with the You-tube stuff.

  • Nate the Newt

Agree with Bluebufoon. They just load slower here. I have the same problem with “5 key plays”. I just hit play on all of them and then go to the bath room. They’re ready when I come back. TMI.

    • Dylan Burkhardt

Weird. I will try to look into it.

for slow loading videos I lower the resolution to 360p-on my computer in the small windows you cannot tell the resolution difference.

vimeo usually works a lot better on my pc.

  • Hey guys,

Sorry I didn’t see this posted here sooner—Portage is a bad team..but I have another video as well as an interview up at http://www.thehoopside.com/glenn-robinson.php if you want to check it out. The competition above was against a bad opponent, but he plays statistically consistent, regardless of how the opponent is. He can fill it up from mid range and is a smooth athlete. Has tremendous potential.
