Michigan will have at least four scholarships to give in the class of 2014 and the Wolverines will use them with so many key players scheduled to graduate. The Michigan roster is loaded with guards and wings going forward, so Michigan will likely need to take at least a couple big men in the class. Currently the only post players that will be on the roster when the class of 2014 arrives are Max Bielfeldt (senior) and Mark Donnal (sophomore). There’s an immediate opportunity for an instant impact big man, but there’s also an opportunity to build some depth going forward. That’s not to say that Michigan won’t continue to pursue guards and wings in the class, John Beilein will just have the opportunity to be a bit more selective.
Despite making such significant progress in the 2012 and 2013 classes, expect John Beilein to stick to NABC guidelines and wait until June 15th, 2012 before offering any class of 2014 prospects. Here’s an early list of 2014 prospects that are on the radar:
