Jaaron Simmons to withdraw from NBA Draft

Ohio graduate transfer point guard Jaaron Simmons will withdraw from the NBA Draft and will play his final year of college basketball at Michigan.

Ohio graduate transfer point guard Jaaron Simmons will withdraw from the NBA Draft and will play his final year of college basketball at Michigan.

The news was first reported by MLive’s Brendan Quinn.

The news shouldn’t come as a huge surprise as Simmons wasn’t projected in prominent mock drafts and had publicly committed to Michigan during his draft evaluation process. But in this day and age, making things official is still news.

Simmons will provide an immediate influx of point guard play and pick-and-roll ability and should be a major factor in the Michigan rotation.

Michigan is still waiting on NBA Draft decisions from Moritz Wagner and DJ Wilson, who have until May 24th to make their decisions.
