Michigan and Oklahoma State traded blows for 40 minutes, but Derrick Walton and his teammates’ three-point shooting was too much for the Cowboys to overcome. The Wolverines advanced to the NCAA Tournament second round with a 92-91 victory.

Stay tuned for full post-game coverage from Bankers Life Fieldhouse this afternoon.

We know how Michigan fans feel after this game, imagine how okie st fans feel seeing all those shots go in? Go blue. I might just make the 5 hour trip to Indy to help our boys out on Sunday!

    • Joel_C

would drive you nuts haha. nice to be on the other end of that.

  • Mitchell Jacobs

Read something on Espn that Walton hurt his ankle…Any news?

    • MattBuckets

In the 1st half, he played through it

      • bobohle

He looked ok at the end of the game.

Interesting start to the Louisville game….

    • andygoblue

WAY early yet. I don’t think JSU has the horses to keep up with Louisville. Michigan, OTOH…

      • Joel_C

yeah, just don’t usually see the 15-seed start with an 8-0 run ha

      • Joel_C

        Yeah, nevermind…

Anyone know if you can stream a replay of the game?

  • bobohle

    Like winning a close game.

Gotta feel bad for Okie St. That team was super dangerous, and as a 8/9 seed, they could’ve given a #1 a run for their money. Tough luck running into an even hotter offense. GO BLUE!

    • Joel_C

yeah it was a weird pairing, both teams kind of got screwed

    • MGoTweeter

But it sounds like all the committee did was swap the games between Michigan and Wisconsin depending on who won. So if Michigan lost, they would have been an 8 playing against 9 seed Oklahoma state. So it wouldn’t have mattered.

      • shielste

Could have gone 9. Okie St vs 8. Miami in the 8/9, move MSU to the 10 seed line vs 7. St. Mary’s, and given VCU as the 10 seed vs Michigan as a 7. And if Michigan lost, switch Michigan and Wisconsin, so Michigan rematch Va Tech (or a different 8/9 slot to avoid a rematch) and Wisconsin vs VCU

Back and forth game, despite having struggles on the defensive end, the outside shooting for Michigan was simply unreal especially in the second half. I hope Walton is alright, will need him for Sunday.
