Walton will not play vs Illinois mark my words

  • Joel_C

F@%&# these refs what a stupid f@%#ing game

  • tom48160

    Perfect. Just a perfect capper…

  • The last thing Michigan needed out of this trip is a Derrick Walton injury. (Also: that ball didn’t go out of bounds).

  • jemblue

    It’s just unbelievable, this officiating.

  • gobluemd16

This is legitimately a joke. HOW CAN YOU CALL IT OUT? How??

  • mgobluehoops23

Walton will not play against Illinois mark my words

    • Chezaroo

Simpson fans will get what they wished for then

    • MAZS

based on the last two years, he may not be the same player the rest of the season

  • Cory

Beilein needs to rip the refs and take a fine after this game. No more of this nice guy BS. This has been an absolute disgrace.

    • jemblue

Yep, time to follow Harbaugh’s example post-OSU. This is a travesty.

  • mgobluehoops23

Donnal needs to quit the team

  • gobluemd16

    Jesus christ Mark. Sh*t man

  • MGoTweeter

I know he won’t do this but beilein should mention the refs in the post game. Don’t have to light them up like harbaugh but man they were absolutely terrible tonight. Not just on the fouls but just missing some basic things like reviewing an obvious close out of bounds

  • Merlin50

Seriously Teske should pass Donnal-he cant be worse.

    • MGoTweeter

I think this game might seal that. Gotta play teske over him

  • Joel_C

No one can f^$&@ing win here with this garbage (save for 2014, somehow), we should just save ourselves the gas & strife, stay home and take the L

  • mgobluehoops23

Please give me one miss and a full court shot

    • Joel_C

      only our opponents get that

  • gobluemd16

Why wasnt that OOB call reviewed??? Wouldnt it be nice to have had that possess now?

  • Joel_C

So that bad OOB call potentially cost us the game. Phenomenal.

  • MLaw

What a job by the officials. Well earned “paycheck”. When will the Big ten actually pay officials so that we can expect a fair game.

  • MAZS

rarely do I complain, but the officiating was very one-sided tonight……………..obviously

  • ChiMan

Three things cost that game: Mark Donnal, DJ not scoring a single point, and that out of bounds call that wasn’t even reviewed. Unreal…..I love the effort but this one is tough to swallow

    • MaizeBlue10

MAARs missed layup when up 8 was the whole turning point. I’m not knocking him one bit, but that changed everything.

      • Tuff Enough

I agree 1oo% and Irvin trying to dribble the ball and losing it all the time, Pathetic for a 5 star kid..

    • JumpStop21

And maybe some of the wasted possessions. They matter against tough teams, in tight games.

    • MAZS

why wasn’t it reviewed? it’s supposed to be automatic in the last minute

  • realber

donnal should never play…he is just lifeless out there.

  • gobluemd16

Refs legitimately changed this game, as did that missed O reb by Mark up 7. DJ did *literally* nothing on offense, but was great on the other end. I didnt know Bo Ryan was still intimidating refs after his retirement..

  • mgobluehoops23

    This one hurts

  • MGoTweeter

Didn’t expect a win tonight. But man it was there for the taking. Unfortunately Michigan played awful in the first half and then Wagner couldn’t make a shot in crunch time. Still love the way the team fought to the very end. At times some of the best defensive effort of the year. Question is can they build off this or will this loss deflate them?

On another note what a joke this officiating was. I’m not a guy to ride officials and I’m not blaming them for the loss. But that was straight incompetence. You have to review that ball out of bounds. Really hope beilein brings it up post game.

    • MLaw

I hope Belein just goes off and gets a fine and says I don’t care about the money you screwed over the game I care about and I never want to see those officials on my court again.

      • gobluemd16

He won’t, but we can wish. He will probably allude to some questionable calls amd leave it at that.

    • MaizeBlue10

Luckily the next game is Illinois, so they should be on edge for that revenge. Indiana game looms large for this season’s stakes.

    • gobluemd16

I totally agree with you and even said that myself, but with that being said, Beilein was standing right over the play amd didnt say a word. He complains and they would review it. Regardless, a terrible and incorrect call.

  • Indiana_Matt

Tough one because it was right there for us. Love these kids. Hope they keep their heads up. And hope Walton isn’t hurt.

  • Indiana_Matt

I love seeing Duncan look like he’s enjoying the game. Think his shot falls more when in that frame of mind. I thought he gave good effort on D. They hit a couple tough shots on him. I wish some of the other guys would consistently run their cuts with more purpose like he does (or at least did much of the night). Make you much harder to guard.

    • JumpStop21

Yes. Dakich made that point a few times. It seems like such a simple point: MOVE.

  • Lilweezy19

Well we got the toughest game on the schedule out of the way.
If Walton is hurt, not a bad time to get X going.
    X, MAAR, Matthews, Wilson, Wagner
With Duncan, Teske, Poole and Livers has potential to be a really good team.

  • iBleedBlue

So, those refs were booty. We still could’ve won, but it’s hard to go into Kohl and play 10 straight minutes with out Walton, Mo, and DJ. Also want to go on record as saying Hayes is the best actor in the B1G and the refs love his work

    • bobohle

Trimble is right there with him.
