Mo Bamba includes Michigan in final four, sets more visits

Five-star big man Mo Bamba named his top four schools at the Hoop Hall Classic this weekend and Michigan is still in the mix.

Bamba is down to Michigan, Texas, Kentucky and Duke. He’s officially visited Michigan and Texas and is planning officials to Duke and Kentucky.

His trip to Kentucky is planned for next weekend, while a trip to Duke hasn’t been locked in due to Mike Krzyzewski’s backs surgery.

“Michigan is still involved,” Bamba told Scout.com. “I talk to the coaches every now and then. It’s a matter of finding a balance of being in the presence of this, Westtown, instead of being out in the world.”

A decision could be coming up in Bamba’s recruitment as well.

“Definitely towards the end of March or early April,” Bamba told Scout. “I kind of want to get home for spring break. Our spring break is March, but that’s the tournament. I kind of want to do visits with the coaches after that and make a decision after that.”

    He sounds very Zen.

This is what M needs an athletic shot blocker in the paint.

Make it more than “now and then” Coach B and company!

100% agree. Show him some love. The coaches should be contacting him all the time letting him know he is the one. Telling him if he comes to UM, he will be the man. No sharing the ball or stage with other All-Americans like at UK and Duke.

I would even have the Dean of the Business school texting him weekly.

Not to mention Livers, Poole and Brooks.

“now and then” sounds pretty lackadaisical to me

It sounds like he said he said he talks to Duke now and then too. I wouldn’t read that much into it…Michigan made his top 4. He also said his parents were disappointed that he dropped Harvard. Duke, Michigan and Texas are all good academic choices.

this would be a pleasant SHOCK if we get him over Texas, Duke, Kentucky

That’s basically how I feel about it. I’m not getting my hopes up at all, but it would be fantastic news.

Unfortunately, to me, michigan sounded like a throw in. Whatever team Beilen can do to improve on that, must be done!, it’s Crootin’

I’ve still got a decent feeling about Mo coming to A2. I think it will come down to us and doook. He sounds like a legit scholar-athlete and Michigan & doook have an edge on UT and Kentucky in that department.

With Michigan having the edge with the Ross Business School. He not only has to hear from Belein as much as possible but The head of the Ross School of Business. Maybe even Mr. Ross himself. You get my gist that Mo Bamba should be a priority for Beilein.
