Hopefully Warde is willing to fire this arrogant coach.

    • AAtoLA

Coach B is not arrogant. But, admittedly, he has done a poor job so far this season with this team. Sad to see.

  • Alex

Got to give it to DJ. Having a great game.

    • MGoTweeter

Yea except for those things called defense and rebounding. Other than those, yea he’s been great

      • GTFOmycourt

He did not rebound well. He defended very well, in my opinion.

  • Chezaroo

Apparently the Illini are running a lot of stuff that we didn’t see on tape

    • MGoTweeter

Only if the tape showed they never dribble the ball or pass the ball or shoot the ball or go for rebounds or you know play basketball, yea if that’s the case then they are doing stuff they hadn’t shown on tape

      • Chezaroo

        Standard lament after every blowout

    • bobohle

Will we here that phrase in the post game presser?

    • mgobluehoops23

So that means we should stick to our men?

  • jeff brow

Love belein as a person, I really do- and he’s done a lot for this school. It’s time to move on folks. Somebody that can recruit and coaches toughness

    • jeff brow

      Recruit at a higher level*

    • Tuff Enough

I agree, 1 more yr, and he is fired period. The new AD will not put up with this crap at all.

  • MGoTweeter

Just stop with the Fire beilein stuff. It’s dumb and it’s not happening no matter what, so move on. Lot of season left and plenty of time for this team to salvage something for this year. If they struggle like this again next year, then yea it’s time to start talking about that.

    • AAtoLA

Agreed. Coach has earned a lot of leeway with deep tourney runs in 2013-2014. Plus, He has a solid recruiting class next year. Nonetheless, it is difficult to deny that he has failed with leading this team this season to this point.

    • bobohle

I like you for being the eternal optimist. From the one who has been True Blue since 1964.

    • AA7596

Agree that he’s likely safe but disagree that the subject is dumb. Bruce Weber got fired at roughly the same point in his tenure for similar results..

  • mgobluehoops23

I’d like to see John Beilein make a power coaching move next game that will show the team that this play has been unacceptable. Different players getting minutes would be a good way of doing that.

  • Wayman Britt

I had plans on Selection Sunday anyhow.

  • Chezaroo

As I stated at the very start of this thread, how does Vegas have us favored in this game?

We’ve now been the favorite in every one of our B1G games thus far. We’re 1-3.

    • Wayman Britt

Well we won’t be favored the rest of the season, maybe not even against Rutgers.

      • bobohle

Wayman do you agree this lack of motivation should fall on JB.

        • Wayman Britt

This year yes. His poor recruiting the last three years is coming to roost.

          • bobohle

Amen. Although with Poole,Livers and Brooks being nominated for McDonalds All Americans, the 2017 class hopefully will be different.

  • mgobluehoops23

Hopefully we can beat Nebraska at home. We really should but probably wont. Then maybe steal a win from a Wisconsin team that will take us lightly. I refuse to give up because I simply can’t I dont have it in me

  • Fab 5 Legends

Weird how this is the exact same team from last minus Levert that was injured early in the season – transfers didn’t really contribute – and they are playing much worse – anything less than NCAA tourny bid
