If they would show fire from the beginning,we wouldn’t have to sweat it out.

We are lucky to win this one, but so many flaws exposed in this game. This team is going string us into highs and lows and a lot of frustrating moments all year. Hopefully this jump starts the squad, but man, there is a lot of concern going forward.

If we had 1 or 2 better possessions in the VT game and also at Iowa, everyone would be feeling fine. That margin of error is so small. It is truly a matter of a couple possessions between 13-2 and 11-4. Just trying to stay positive amidst the adversity.

I dare say if we lost that game it would have been nuclear war on this site

  • Champswest

We are pretty damn good when we play hard. We should do that more often.

  • Mattski

Would love it if BTN talked about our game rather than MSU’s after that end, but hey. . .

    • Chezaroo

      Yeah. No sh…

    • Mattski

      Slathering Izzo’s noogies, too; wow.

  • malcolm bolt

A lot of tread on Walton and Irvin in terms of minutes per game.

Not gunna go back thru the comments (once I logged off down 14, we played pretty well afterwards :)), but so nice to get a pretty fluky win. Was the anti-VT game. Two questions, why didnt Duncan go back in after that personal 8-0 run? He got his fourth with 5:30 left then didnt play again. MAAR certainly didnt do anything to deserve playing down the stretch. Also, Sean for that last possess? Huh? After not playing the entire game. Had he messed up, Beilein wouldve been scorched.

I figured that Lonergan was out there as the designated fouler. Looks like I was wrong.

    • bobohle

I think he was the designated fouler that being Lonegran.

    • Champswest

Sean was there to foul. Why no Duncan at the end, I don’t know, but it worked.

      • gobluemd16

Except I watched the reply and he didn’t try to foul at all. Hence why I asked. Very odd

      Defense

      • bobohle

If it was for defense they took the wrong man out being X.

      • gobluemd16

MAAR wasnt any better. Duncan was fouling, MAAR getting beaten so bad he couldn’t foul. And obviously Duncan was in a groove offensively before his 4th foul.

Again? He’s been on fire the past few games.

Beilein was pretty emotional in his radio post game comments. He said that for the first time this season he saw the emotional investment/will to win in a huddle. He also talked about how much the fans tonight mattered and then finally when talking about his 200th win he said how fast the time has gone and that Ann Arbor is their home for life.

Just got home and was about to post something about his radio post game. Second time this season it sounded like he was directly addressing a lot of the negative points brought up on this site. In addition to what you mentioned, he talked about how he team has been becoming way too jump shot dominate and they talked at half time about driving the ball. He talked about their defensive adjustment and just trying to be a lot more physical. Specifically called out the starters for being too passive on d instead of using their bodies. Also talked about some of the ups and downs of the program over the last ten years and his desire to get this program to the top.
