Report: Michigan offers five-star wing Brian Bowen

Dylan Burkhardt

John Beilein handed out another offer this month, this one to class of 2017 five-star wing Brian Bowen.

The offer was first reported by Sam Webb.

Bowen is ranked 11th nationally according to 247 Sports Composite and holds offers from Michigan State, Notre Dame, Iowa, Kansas, Texas, Florida State and others. He’s averaging 18.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Michigan currently has one class of 2017 commitment, from 4-star shooter Jordan Poole, and has outstanding offers to Jaren Jackson, Kris Wilkes, Jamal Cain and Kyle Young.

Would love to see Bowen in a Michigan uniform, but Izzo owns Saginaw.

Maybe this is where Mr. Washington comes into play.

I have watched a few of his videos and I like his swag, enthusiasm and histrionics. I don’t think we want a whole team like this but Burke, Stauskus and McGary had a flare, swag and aggressiveness that helped them exceed their talent. We need at least one other person with MAAR who acts like they want to be on the court and stuff the ball down the throats of the opponent.
