Agree with all you. Gonna take a big time game tomorrow for Michigan to win. Good news is that Irvin and Walton both struggled mightily today. Have to think they play better or at least shoot better tomorrow. If rahk and Duncan can maintain, who knows. Just win the game

Get in the ice tubs stat!!

  • bobohle

Get to the ice tub boys. We will need the legs tomorrow. Note: Doyle was on fumes up and down the court in the OT.

Derrick Walton scored less points that Andrew Dakich…let that sink in

  • MGoTweeter

Let’s give it up for Duncan and rahk as well. Two guys a lot of people didn’t want to see get scholarships. Both played great today and made huge plays late in the game.

    • Chezaroo

      No shot today without them

Rahk has quickly become my favorite UM player now that Spike is done…he has the most all around game and has the most confident composure of all players on the team

I’d like him a lot more if here were playing 15 minutes a game behind Levert. He’s a great 7th man but a pretty mediocre starter.

        • GTFOmycourt

I would like to see Levert and Maar both getting a lot of minutes. Maar is a valuable player for us.

I like that confident composure as well. Hope he can spread it around more.

Just an absolute macrocosm – missed free throws, failure to defend our glass, now they’re exhausted, playing in 22 hours against a team that pushes the pace all game long. There’s a reason we’re always 1-1 and one big part of that is that we always make the first game a complete nightmare.

    • MGoTweeter

Is that really true? Feel like they have had several pretty comfortable wins in the first round of the big ten tournament. If anything I would say the bigger issue is beilein usually uses a short rotation which doesn’t lend itself to these back to back tournaments. But he subbed pretty liberally today, so legs shouldn’t be a huge issue tomorrow

There have been a lot of knock down drag out first games. I recall for one an absolutely exhausted Trey Burke at the end of some nightmare his freshman year.

        • MGoTweeter

I mean i don’t remember nor care enough to look it up, just seems like that’s the nature of tournament basketball. You’re gonna play tough games. Again, I think over the years the bigger issue is the short rotation. Thought today beilein gave guys a ton of rest

          • scipiodreams80

Yeah, I laid out a whole thing a while ago on how we’re not built for back to backs.

      • Chezaroo

We will see if our transition D is any better than the last IU game. Absolutely overwhelmed last game.

    • jemblue

In fairness, we do always win that first game. We’ve never laid an egg.

Probably Robinson’s best game of the year and Walton’s worst. I don’t know what happened to Walton’s shot, but he has not been scoring of late.

    • bobohle

Maybe he will get 25 pts tomorrow.

  • scipiodreams80

I still cannot BEGIN to fathom what Walton did. In what universe do you make that kind of massive mistake with a game on the line. If it were an isolated incident, fine, call it a fluke, but it’s not. Glaring mental gaffe after mental gaffe.

  • Indiana_Matt

Ha! We won. I know this is corny, but I live in Indy and never get to see them play live. It was ridiculous at times today but man, it is fantastic to see the team in person. Go Blue!

    • Indiana_Matt

I wanted to climb down and hug Spike and Caris but there were police around and I was with co-workers and it all would have ended badly. But I will miss watching those dudes so much.

  • bobohle

I hope we don’t see the Harbaughs rooting for IU on camera tomorrow
