The Wolverines will be without senior guard Caris LeVert, who will miss today’s game with a ‘lower leg injury’.

More and more I think our ultimate success is dependent on the consistency of Walton.

    • Wayman Britt

I think he got fouled there

    • Chris De Sana

Too deep and out of control

  • Chazer

    Derrick needs to slow down

  • jakelam2116

If you take out the possessions ending in Walton TOs or Walton getting blocked, what’s Michigan’s offensive efficiency? Gotta be ridiculous.

  • Wayman Britt

Robinson showing he is more than just a three point shooter. He has really picked up his defense and assists.

  • What an incredible half for Michigan playing without Caris LeVert. 1.5 points per possession.

  • Chazer

    49 in a half……what?

  • bobohle

Walton needs to relax. what a team game though.

  • umnyc

Nice to know we can play so well without Caris and Derrick. Pretty rough half from Walton. Could Donnal have actually turned the corner??

    • He’s learning what can happen when he runs the floor hard.

      • bobohle

        Perfectly stated!

  • MGoTweeter

Unreal. Fabulous offensive half. Easily the best half of the year when you consider no levert, Walton was awful, and penn st is a pretty good defensive team.

  • three_goggles

49 in a half. Without Levert. Against a KenPom top-100 defense.

  • James

Donnal with a real nice rebound, block and some difficult finishes on the pick and roll. Dude is playing well.

  • gobluemd16

Possibly the worst half of Walton’s career (recency effect, but i cannot remember ever thinking that about one of his halves), yet up by 21 points. Absolutely unreal offensive effort!

  • Game tracker has Andrew Dakich +19 in that half. Incredibly important minutes and energy he gave Michigan with Walton really struggling. Not what I expected at all.

    • Chris De Sana

He has spikes energy but not his shot.

      • Tuff Enough

        Well said..Chris.

  • arsenal926

I feel like Robinson has turned into a completely passable player on Defense. He’s not anywhere near a plus, but he’s not a player teams game plan specifically against him.

    • gobluemd16

Dawkins has looked MUCH better the past two games too, I’ve thought

      • He had a terrific half … scored off the bounce, hit threes and played much, much better defense.

  • bobohle

Dakich needs more minutes. That’s when the Michigan turnaround began when his energy came in the game

    • Cory

I think the amount of time he gets is fine. Yeah, today worked out well, but when he’s in the game we only have 4 players who can score the ball.

      • Chazer

But the team can score….maybe their best half of the year!

    • Chris De Sana

Not sure if more minutes are in order but I am certainly not as concerned as i was previously when he is called upon.

  • That wasn’t a bad defensive half either… held PSU to the tough sort of shots that you want to make them take other than a couple blown switches.

  • Chillax

Donnal really wanting the 5 spot …>FINALLY!!!!!

  • Wayman Britt

Who is that number 34 in white? Did he just aggressively go for a rebound?

    • Chazer

      Amazing what confidence can do!

      • Steve2081

The question is did he take it all from Walton. Is there a finite amount of confidence on this team?

        • Tuff Enough

I believe it leadership with the team and when they came in they had all those leaders to lead now they do not and it shows sometimes on the court with no one talking to each other.

  • bobohle

I think Donnal is the man at the 5 going forward.

    • Wayman Britt

Its like he is a total different player

    • Tuff Enough

I agree, Doyle just looks soft this year and needs to lose some weight and put some more muscle period and leave the new food court alone.. lol

  • MGoTweeter

Great to see mark Donnal putting together another solid performance.

  • Chris De Sana

Walton to the bench with 5 turnovers

    • Chazer

Tough day, he looks to be forcing his game playing good D though!

      • Chris De Sana

He has always had the tendency to get too deep; just more so than ever today.

  • Chris De Sana

Robinson with a couple of great looks; good news is he will keep shooting…..

  • jakelam2116

I’ve been pretty impressed with Wagner’s hedging on the high ball screen. Has recovered off it well, too

    • Works better against a team like PSU that can’t pass the ball.

  • Wayman Britt

Will Caris’s injury keep him out against Purdue?

  • Steve2081

We are definitely at our best with Irvin in the middle of the zone.

  • Wayman Britt

Dylan – can we see a shot chart on Donnal? Just one dot by basket.

  • jakelam2116

No Caris needed today, but these next three games will be quite the test hopefully with him.

  • bobohle

Our depth which we thought we had pre season is finally starting to show the last 5 games. On to Purdue with a healthy Levert I hope.

  • Fred Z in Ann Arbor

Word for the day: Donnalboggle, the state of mind resulting from the miraculous B10 season transformation of hitherto struggling big white guy.
