Game 14: Michigan at Illinois Open Thread

Michigan tips off Big Ten play this afternoon at Illinois (3 p.m., ESPN2) in a rare mid-week matinee. The Wolverines will be looking to start this year’s conference slate off on the right foot after ending last season on a five-game road losing streak in conference play.

Dan Dakich and Dave Lamont will be handling broadcasting duties for ESPN2 and for those of you stuck at work you can watch the game online at WatchESPN.

Had to have that game and they got it. Great games by levert and Donnal. But really everyone played well in that second half. Gonna be interesting to see if Donnal can give them even half that scoring and rebounding against more physical teams.

9 rebounds for Donnal–perhaps Beilein’s system doesn’t really limit the 5s to blocking out for Walton

Donnal! Is he this year’s Bielfeldt – the guy who seemed lost who then suddenly turns the corner?

Love this win. First B1G game on the road, lots of teaching moments to improve on after a W, Donnal sighting, levert not regressing to hero ball, guards rebounding, breaking pressures, And soundly beating Kenpom! Go Blue!

Miss the game but had it recorded and to me it look like they were waiting on someone to take the shot and you can see them trying to make the extra pass instead of looking to shot themselves. Man maybe it was that they were playing in a grave yard. LOL
