Michigan extended a scholarship offer to 6-foot-7 forward Kyle Young this afternoon, according to a report by Ohio basketball insider Corey Albertson.

Young is a 6-foot-7 forward from Jackson High School in Massillon, OH with offers from Wisconsin, Clemson, Purdue, Illinois, Xavier, Butler, Davidson, Akron, Kent State, Toledo, Miami (OH), Bowling Green, High Point, and others. He’s ranked 112th nationally in the class of 2017 according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

“I’m not going to have any set time (to decide),” Young told TimesReporter.com in October. “If I feel right about a school … I’ll make a decision. As of now I’m just kind of feeling everything out.”

Young averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds per game as a sophomore, shooting 56% overall and 39% from three-point range.

The Wolverines have one commitment in the class of 2017, from Milwaukee guard Jordan Poole, and one additional outstanding offer to top-50 forward prospect Jaren Jackson.

Here are some recent highlights of Young in action against regional rivals Canton McKinley.
