Can osu hang on? Jamal Murray is putting on a show

    • Kentucky heating up. Gotta love the Ulis-Murray backcourt. Both guys are fun to watch.

      • Great win for OSU. They’ll be dangerous this year, but really hurt themselves with all of those early losses.

        • MGoTweeter

Huge win for osu. But that was the classic coach cal is more of an advisor than a coach. So many bad shots for Kentucky. At some point as a coach you gotta slow them down and get them to move ball.

          • So few shooters that they are also a pretty easy scout. Good job by OSU defensively to pack the lane and make them shoot over them.

  • Chillax

I am going to start wearing a Donnal I Believe” shirt

  • Wayman Britt

Oh no, now OSU is getting good. UM already has to worry about MSU, Purdue, Maryland, Northwestern and now OSU.

    • How exactly does Michigan has to ‘worry about’ Ohio State? Figure that game in Columbus was never going to be easy, but Buckeyes still have a lot of work to do.

      • Wayman Britt

I thought OSU just beat Kentucky.

        • They did. Good win for them, but they are also just a game over .500. Michigan just has to worry about winning games.

        • Champswest

          They did.

  • Champswest

I always like it when they go to the big guy early.

  • Cory

So apparently Doyle had a good week of practice?

  • MGoTweeter

Just got here. Missed the first four minutes. I take it things went well

    • Wayman Britt

      2 threes for guest who

      • MGoTweeter

        Mark Donnal?

  • Quick start for Michigan here out of the gates… Love the perfect execution against the zone on the first possession. U-M really looking to run and getting out in transition and YSU’s transition defense is just awful.

  • Wayman Britt

Good start. Zak’s shot still a little off

  • Matt

Irvin’s shot has always looked a little weird, but he made them. This year he has developed some extra little twitch in his shot that just looks awful, it’s time for Beilein to step in and fix it. Irvin needs to be able to make the 3 for us. I’m really concerned because I think Irvin is the key to our team against quality opponents

    • Chris De Sana

Either he or Dawkins have to be able to knock down the open jumper if we are to compete against the better teams.

  • MGoTweeter

Some really nice half court defense by Michigan. Keeping guys in front of them. Offensively the ball movement looks terrific.

  • Cory

    Best we’ve looked this year.

  • MGoTweeter

Aubrey is in his own head now. Didn’t even look to shoot when he got that ball and then put up a brick after being told to shoot.

    • And he’s the last guy off the bench essentially at this point.

  • MGoTweeter

Nice little thjr curl play by Aubrey there

  • Cory

Aubrey’s best shift of the season. Hit a mid range jumper, nice pass to Wanger and now the open 3.

    • MGoTweeter

Great to see him making some plays. Definitely need his scoring ability off the bench when one of the other wings struggles.

  • Michigan is just cruising here… Offense is clicking on all levels, but YSU isn’t putting up a lot of a fight.

  • Cory

Butler is giving Purdue a beat down right now. Purdue having a very hard time scoring.

  • Champswest

Dawkins and Irvin breaking out of their slumps.

  • MGoTweeter

It all starts with defense. Michigan is getting stops and just running ysu out of the gym. Don’t know if it’s that Michigan has improved that much on the defensive end or ysu is that bad. I do think the on ball defense has looked better tonight.

  • Michigan leads 55-22 at the break over Youngstown State. That’s 1.57 points per possession.

  • Wayman Britt

    Love that half by Walton.

    • MGoTweeter

Best he s looked since Elon

  • Michigan is just grabbing rebounds and running right at Youngstown State. Great to see Aubrey get loose after he looked so hesitant early. They’ll need him this year.

Walton with 10-7-5 in the first half. Another triple double watch?

15 assists on 21 field goals for Michigan as well.

  • Champswest

Fun fact. Freshman Stauskas made 80 3pt goals in 39 games, basically 2 per game. He had 92 as a soph in 36 games. Duncan Robinson has 42 in 11.5 games, an average of 3.65 per game. In a 33 game season (31+1+1), he would make120. Bullock owns the UM single season record of 101.

  • Champswest

Butler 70 Purdue 68 with 21 seconds. Butler ball.

  • Little sloppier there out of the gate from Michigan in the second half, but I guess that’s to be expected with a 30 point margin.

  • MGoTweeter

I’d say start the triple double watch but this is such a blowout and Walton is coming off the injury, so can’t imagine he plays this out

    • Agreed, 10-7-7 now.. how many minutes do you play Dakich?

      • MGoTweeter

Cmon Duncan. Gotta make that instead of padding your rebounding stats

      • MGoTweeter

I would think Walton is done by the under eight and then some combo of rahk/dakich the rest of the way

  • MGoTweeter

Two good looks for Duncan and Aubrey for the tenth Walton assist. Love how levert let go of that rebound for Walton.

    • Safe to say he knows something about chasing a triple double! ;-)

      • MGoTweeter

Haha then levert opts off the free throw lane for Walton

  • MGoTweeter

Atta boy Ricky. Can Walton get two rebounds?!?

  • Champswest

    One more rebound.

  • MGoTweeter

    Wow

  • Champswest

    Okay, time for the bench.

  • MGoTweeter

Man it’s been so long since Michigan has had a player get a triple double. Feels good

    • beingklauskinski

      ;)

  • Get these guys out of the game now…

    • MGoTweeter

Think he is waiting for a live break to give Walton one more standing o

      • MGoTweeter

Oh nvm. They took him out. Didn’t update the scoreboard

  • Not much to complain about tonight. Flawless performance against an overmatched team.
