Michigan extended its second class of 2017 scholarship offer on Saturday to 6-foot-9 forward Jaren Jackson.

The news was first reported by Kyle Neddenriep on Saturday evening.

Jackson is a 6-foot-9 wing from Park Tudor high school in Indianapolis and is ranked 73rd nationally in the class of 2017 according to 247Sports Composite rankings.  He also holds offers from Indiana, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Georgetown, Butler, Purdue, Maryland and others.

Jackson received the offer on his first unofficial visit to Ann Arbor and joins Milwaukee guard Jordan Poole as an offered prospect in the class.

The Wolverines had a busy visit weekend, also hosting Musa Jallow, Austin Boucher, Maishe Dailey, Thomas Kithier, Brandon Wade, Sean Cobb and others.

I can’t wait until we offer Musa next year! He looks like Justise Winslow.

I have a feeling Jackson will be climbing higher than 73rd nationally.

    • Agreed. He has a wonderful combination of stroke, length, skills and hops

That was my impression of him also. How ironic Izzo and Crean are after him also.

Same high school that produced Yogi and Bluiett. Park Tudor is a private school that costs $20,000 to attend (they do offer scholarships). Their coach was a great shooter in high school (played in my small school conference a couple years after I did).

What school in the MEC did you play for? I also played in the same conference. Kyle Cox was a few years after me.

The mighty powerhouse known as the Cowan Blackhawks.

          Nice! Daleville Broncos for me!

Jaren Jackson reminds me of Epke Udoh.
