They’ve let ’em play the entire game, then call that. Questionable.

  • Wayman Britt

    Trouble now

  • MLaw

Bad breaks already. Yikes. I hate overtime. We should just call it a draw.

  • Wayman Britt

    Game over

  • Joel_C

This sucks, we led all #&$!ing game

  • MLaw

    I think I’ve seen this one before….

  • jakelam2116

It’s probably becoming a bit mental about now.

  • Steve Feller

Zak is not a closer…he is nice role player, but he can’t be the guy

  • Man… gotta feel for these kids at this point.

  • bob

Spike is better at shooting the team out of games than shooting the team into games.

  • 93Grad

    Terrible game by Irvin

    • MGoTweeter

only guyrebounding for most of the game but ok

    • Steve Feller

What you don’t like 8 points on 12 shots?

  • MGoTweeter

this is where not subbing for an entire half kills you. hard to anticipate OT but these tired dumb, plays late are for a reason

    • john

pipe down man. You are so negative all the time

  • MLaw

Holy smokes 13-0 run. That is awful. Man. I’m out guys. I’m sick to my stomach…

  • Joel_C

    Wow. This season #*&@ing sucks.

  • Steve Feller

Spike has a shot to ice the game and rattled out…closest the ball has been to going in for the last 6 minutes

  • Wayman Britt

Does anybody know, do you need a winning record to get into the NIT tournament?

    • Joel_C

You have to be .500 or higher

    • wil

Do you need it to get into the Big 10 tourney?

  • Steve Feller

    TAKE THE DAMN TIMEOUT

    • Joel_C

      We’ve given up, clearly

  • Steve Feller

Does anyone remember how much they scored in the Wisconsin OT?

  • bob

    this is absurd

  • MGoTweeter

hard not to blame beilein for a lot of this. terrible lategame coaching

    • 93Grad

What do want him to do? We are totally overmatched and no one stepped up to help Max and Spike

      • MGoTweeter

they were up what 7? with a couple minutes left? didnt suball halfexcept at center. couldnt get them to execute out of timeouts late.

        • 93Grad

They had no subs capable of contributing.

          • MGoTweeter

            bs

          • 93Grad

Chatman didn’t play after the first 10 minutes. Obviously the coaches disagree with u.

    • 93Grad

What did u want. More chatman?

      • MGoTweeter

yes. even youwould rather have chatman for a few minutes secondhalf, than a completely gassed team at the endof the game

        • 93Grad

Chatman is quite simply the worst player I have ever seen in a Michigan uniform.

          • MGoTweeter

            nice

          • 93Grad

I’ve been watching Michigan hoops since Guarde Thompson and Leslie Rockymore. Chatman is the worst player I’ve seen in that period. I’d rather see K’Len Morris out there.

          • MGoTweeter

good for you. keep insulting guys giving their all for michigan. im sure they appreciate criticism from guys who have been watching sincethompsonplayed

          • 93Grad

Ok. And you can keep criticizing the best coach we have had since Johnny Orr

          • And you guys can both drop it. Exchange emails or something.

          • MGoTweeter

my fault. should have let it go

    • Steve Feller

Agree to a point…but in the last 3 overtime games they have scored a total of 7 points…7 points in 15 minutes of basketball. That isn’t all coaching – at some point the kids have to put the ball in the basket

  • Alex

    New mantra: finish.

I’m not mad at all at our guys. We just don’t have enough bodies right now.

If we had Walton only I think we would win some of these games. All right keep fighting but yeah it’s got to be exhausting to keep getting into overtime and coming up short.

  • Joel_C

So angry. Why did I watch this game.

  • A2MIKE

Awful on all front’s down the stretch, coaching, execution, lots of deer in the headlights, especially RAHK

    • Steve Feller

I just keep waiting for Zak to come up big….thought the Indiana game was a turning point…guess not

      • Wayman Britt

Let’s face it Zak is just not that good of a player.

  • Joel_C

God I feel terrible for Spike

  • Wayman Britt

That was a winnable game. We just don’t have anybody who can get their own shot late.

    • MGoTweeter

everyone is tired and ball watching

    • 93Grad

No Caris Walton or DJ. Chatman Hatch and Donnal can’t play. So they are down 5 scholarship players.

  • Nick

Absolutely brutal. The inbounding is just so bad and has been for years!

  • Under The Bridge

They’re just exhausted at the 35 minute mark. The team is developing. After NJIT and Eastern I knew that this was probably not a tournament team. It’s cliche but true. With LeVert and Walton out we are kinda playing with house money. We need to savor every bit of success that should come our way.

  • MGoTweeter

gave this one away. a lot of the other close losses i thought they did about all they could. tonight they just botched. whether it was not subbing, playing extensive 1-3-1, failing to execute SLOB plays, misusing timeouts…just lots of things that michigan could control and failed to do so

  • Joel_C

That’s one of the most infuriating games I’ve ever watched. And I’ve seen us lose at the buzzer multiple times. We had no business losing that game. To make it worse, we had to watch their idiot fans go crazy for stealing a win against a totally depleted, not-even-NIT-caliber team. Yeah good job.

  • Wolverines for life

I wouldn’t mind seeing more post-ups from Doyle. It would give us another option but Beilein is all about “his offense”.

    • MGoTweeter

they have definitely used post ups more thisyear. its just difficult to execute with a bad passing team and inexperienced post players

      • Wolverines for Life

You have a point. I just hold a grudge against Beilein. He is a terrific offensive coach and has done wonders for the program;however, his recruiting, subbing, and offensive scheme seem to neglect the fact that big men are important. We lost to Louisville and Kentucky because we couldn’t compete inside. There have been multiple transfers as big men do not want to play for him, and I am afraid Doyle may consider transferring. Even McGrady had to fight for minutes for most of his Freshman year.

        • MGoTweeter

to be fair, most teams hadtrouble with louisville andkentucky inside. i have certainly been critical of the lack of post feeds over the years, but i

  • Corperryale

Well that was a choke job.

    • Old Man

The dreaded inbound play did it again

  • Vince

I understand our frustrations as fans and there were a number of plays in the second half that I’m sure Beilein would like to have back, but the truth in these last minute or OT loses is that we probably OVER ACHEIVED and OVER EXERTED our talent and energy during tight games and simply ran out of gas at the end of games or OT. The deeper we go into the season the more fatigued we became (especially for freshmen hitting the proverbial wall) and it is tougher to win these games. I am just glad to see the improvement and the fight our guys are putting up.

Go Blue! And enjoy our team!!

    • Under The Bridge

      Absolute truth!
