Goodness. Gotta get back on D. Nebraska blowing FB opportunities.

  • jakelam2116

Has any team in the country stepped on the baseline more this season?

    • Chris De Sana

      Was thinking the same thing

  • MGoTweeter

    ack close misses

  • MEL

    dawkins if he’s open needs to shoot it;

  • Chris De Sana

Danger zone here getting sloppy on offense and Nebraska getting good looks just missing them.

    • MGoTweeter

i dunno. got two good looks from spike and rahk that they missed which led to 5 on 4 for nevraska

  • A2MIKE

    Good TO

  • Those sloppy offensive possessions are killers…. Letting NEB hang around here….

  • jakelam2116

    Single digits…

  • MGoTweeter

    max beast

  • MEL

max is all that stands between us and a nailbiter

    • Chezaroo

MAXIMUS bites nails! He’s a JACKHAMMER

  • Corperryale

Max Bielfeldt has really good hands. I honestly did not know.

  • jakelam2116

    Max has been HUGE.

  • MEL

max could hit a double double

  • Old man

Can’t let this one get away. Another baseline.

  • A2MIKE

3 iffy calls in a row to nebraska

  • MGoTweeter

    huge shot by irvin

  • A2MIKE

    HUGE SHOT ZAK

  • jemblue

That may have been the dagger.

  • Chris De Sana

I swear we have had so much success off of the curl cut I have no clue why it is not part of the regular offense, drives me nuts.

    • They’ve been dialing it up all game…

    • MGoTweeter

i think it is, just that it is an easy area to defend with congestion

  • Old man

He has guts I will say that

  • jakelam2116

    Up to 50% on twos & 3s.

  • Corperryale

I don’t think Michigan hasn’t really gone truly cold at all this game, which is a rarity for them. When they make a mistake, they try something new and don’t get into an extended slump. A benefit of everyone getting involved and not relying on one or two guys.

    • jakelam2116

They had a 4-minute stretch, but I guess for this team that’s shorter than typical.

    • jemblue

The first 10 minutes of the game were pretty ugly. From then on we’ve been solid.

      • Corperryale

Agree but at least they took care of business on D early on.

  • jakelam2116

    There we go, Spike.

    • MEL

that was a great play by SPIKE!

  • MGoTweeter

wow.did not see this type of game coming

    • Chezaroo

      Either did Tim Miles

  • jakelam2116

    Unstoppable Max.

  • jemblue

    Max is an animal tonight!

  • MEL

max needs 2 more Rs for 2 double double michigan men tonight

    • jakelam2116

When was the last time that happened?

  • Corperryale

Well folks, this was just Michigan’s annual home blowout of Nebraska, nothing to see here.

  • MEL

    one more max!

  • wil

    9 for Max

  • jakelam2116

Ah, Max was so close to that 10th

  • MEL

oh well; great, somewhat surprisingly easy, win

  • jakelam2116

OK, we know Rahk is never gonna be a dude who gives up easy buckets without fouling.

    • Just wanted to get Austin in the game.

      • jakelam2116

        Ah, yes.

  • jemblue

Great, great performance with yet another shorthanded lineup. JB is doing maybe his best coaching job yet in this post-LeVert stretch.

  • wil

    Rebound missed throw Max!

  • Cory

Cautiously optimistic that we’re going to be right there at Michigan State!

  • MEL

really, an indictment of the B1G. michigan is 6-3 halfway thru, still not close to a tourney team. but optimistic! #goblue

    • MGoTweeter

      5 more wins

      • MEL

5 more + one in the conf tourney

        • MGoTweeter

maybe. depends who the 5 wins are against and if the bubble continues to be weak

  • MGoTweeter

best half of baskeball michigan has played in a long long time. great win. good to see rahk an dawk both play well for stretches and vets max, zak and spike stepup. on to el

  • Old man

What a coach we have here. I can not believe people question his work.

    • Corperryale

Some may question the recruiting (guilty as charged) but you definitely can’t question the coaching. If U-M somehow makes the tournament J.B. NEEDS to win coach of the year outright. Even if Wisconsin wins the championship, Izzo makes the final four, and Crean wins every conference game from here on out. Even then, considering the adversity U-M has faced, only Beilein would deserve it.

  • bob

    Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rondo

  • eddieben

Pleasantly surprising offensive game against a tough d. Really liked how Rahk played on both sides of the ball. Progress is in the air.

  • Mattski

I honestly think I enjoy our way of winning–often scraping–with unheralded players better than if we just stomped everyone with McDonald’s All Americans year to year. Does anyone else feel this way?

    • A2MIKE

I liked our 2013 lineup, blend of both

      • 93Grad

Me too. Winning a few games with scrapers is nice but going to the Final Four with stars and scrappers is better.

    • zeroskie

absolutely. I think we have plenty of room to improve for next season too. These injuries, while terrible, have given our bench players a chance to prove they can play.

    • jakelam2116

Definitely agree. Not to mention getting to see guys develop for at least two years, seeing how the coaching pays off.

  • Kenny

beilein at his best, 4 starters tonight have no other power 5 offers.

  • Corperryale

Max, Rawk and Dawk aka the Big Three.

  • Mattski

Five more wins and a tourney invite doesn’t seem like such a stretch. Hall of Fame coach.

  • jakerblue

Of the original starting five of the season, tonight only two played and only one was in the starting lineup. Pretty great to get a win like that.

  • 93Grad

Another impressive win given the circumstances. We basically went with 6 scholarship players as Donnal played sparingly if at all and Chatman was terrible every minute he was on the floor.
