Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m and the game will be televised by BTN’s BTN2Go subscription service ($9.99/mo). Pre-Game Reading

    Derrick back in

  • geoffclarke

    Wilson in at 4. :)

  • gobluemd16

Clearly inferior competition, but defense does look improved

  • Alo

Man Big Ten Plus commentating makes me miss Charles Barkley

    • Good opportunity for students though IMO. The entire production is student run I believe.

  • kam

wilson is sooooo long.. he will get playing time. Cant believe some think he should be red shirted

  • LL Cool J

I love Wilson dudes raw but he’ll be a factor this year i’m excited for this year

    • geoffclarke

So when you did “loungin (who do you love)”, you were talking about Wilson?!?

  • gobluemd16

Defensive rebounding will cause me to pull some hairs out this year, no doubt

    • Chris De Sana

They seem to struggle to find someone to box out, at least that is what I see so far. Going to have to put body on body when it comes to most teams they play.

  • Alo

Do you remember when michigan use to use the entire shot clock just about everytime down the floor (it felt like buzzer beater shots everytime). It’s like night and day with this team

  • Chris De Sana

    Very nice ball movement

  • gobluemd16

Dawkins and DJ with nice looking threes.. Dawkins may take 50 dribbles all season

    • kam

lol he is worse than irvin was last year(at dribbling)…I like DJ’s skill set!

    • Chris De Sana

THjr struggled for a while with his handle, Dawkins will get there but may take longer as he will get less minutes than Timmy.

    • Two threes to how many dribbles? Might have a 3PA/DribbleA ratio over 1.

      • gobluemd16

Lol, he took a few on that last break

  • James

Wayne State is really awful. Even for a DII team.

  • kam

    YES DAWKINS! DRIBBLE

  • kam

    LET HATCH SHOOT!

  • gobluemd16

    HATCH!!!!

  • kam

Be a ball hog, Hatch! Chuck! lol

  • Chris De Sana

Nice 2 man game there by the bigs

  • kam

Start hatch at center.. Good win

  • gobluemd16

    Wow, what a moment

  • Cory

That was awesome. Great moment. Couldn’t be happier for Hatch.

  • DetroitDan

    Lonergan’s a good walk on.

  • Wayman Britt

I know it’s hard to have two six footers on the floor at the same time, but a see Spike getting a few more minutes this year. He is just a great spark.

    • jakerblue

he’s just such a savvy player, such fun to watch

  • jakerblue

after reading about the open practice, seems like the bigs looked a lot better tonight. Even against inferior competition an actual game has to be more telling than a practice. Some good hustle and nice plays. And maybe even a little of that shooting from Max that we heard about so much last year but never saw.
Like how hard everyone played even in an exhibition.
Seems like MARR may not see the floor much, shooting isn’t good enogh.

    • DetroitDan

I’m more optimistic about MAAR. The guy is a scorer, and can create scoring opportunities for himself and others. He averaged 22 points per game as a high school senior, which is hard to do if you can’t shoot.

This Michigan team is a bit weak in terms of players who can create offense. LaVert is pretty good, but Rahkman is a better ball handler, and almost as tall.

One thing I believe is that Michigan has nothing to fear from foul trouble this year. If LaVert ever gets in foul trouble, Rahkman can provide a Spike Albrecht type performance off the bench…

    What’s the score??
