Five-star forward T.J. Leaf adds Michigan offer

Michigan extended its seventh scholarship offer of the day to 6-foot-9 forward TJ Leaf. Leaf confirmed the offer via text message on Sunday evening.

The Wolverines also offered Derryck Thornton, Tyus Battle, Quentin Goodin, Seth Towns, Jon Teske and Cassius Winston today.

Leaf is a five-star prospect from El Cajon, CA and is ranked 16th nationally according to 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-9 swingman has been hearing the most from Michigan, Indiana, UCLA and Arizona. Leaf also added an offer from Texas today.

Leaf has made two visits to the University of Michigan, for a football game in the fall and for a complete unofficial visit in May.

“They get guys in and they make them tremendously better in one or two years,” Leaf said about Michigan in May. “So they obviously have something working there. They are a very successful program and I think I fit in very well with their wing position.”

Leaf is averaging 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game with the Compton Magic on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit this summer.
