    Moved to 8th on Kenpom
Brian Bowen and Jayson Tatum both had front row seats
Teary eyed Izzo is a beautiful sight.

This video sure does make you appreciate the “don’t let your highs get too high and the lows too low” attitude the Beilein has. I understand being upset by a loss, but man he just seems absolutely destroyed.

One of the more gracious press conferences I’ve seen from Izzo as crushed as he sounded.

  • Mattski

    I’ll take Beilein.

  • TDGR

Wait wait wait, MSU has injured players?!? This is news to me…

i don’t think i’ve ever seen izzo this devastated after a loss. goodness. never seen beilein as angry as he was at the refs today, either. jb was definitely lucky not to get a tech.

If I’m not mistaken, they were going to charge a time out to Michigan when Michigan didn’t call a time out. If you’ll notice, they’d started to prepare for a time out and then after Beilein got upset there was no time out.

The refs had a delay reaction to spike’s call for a TO.

You can tell Izzo’s hot take on the game is that Walton performed at the FT line way beyond what he expected. Good on Walton.

I still hate this guy, he said at the beginning, “I’m not going to make excuses” and then proceeded to for a large part of the press conference.

To summarize (read in a low, mumbling, brink of crying voice):
    1. I’m not going to make any excuses but we were injured, and had inexperienced players playing out of position all game. Also, Harris and Appling were injured for most of the game, and played through some terrible officiated rough plays.
    2. Michigan made some shots, got lucky to hit their open 3’s and FT’s. Don’t take anything away from them, but we were hurt and they got lucky.

God I hate Izzo. No wonder he doesn’t get asked to coach the US Olympic team.
