UM Hoops Podcast 2.4: Zack Novak and The Only Colors

junior-scream[1]After a whirlwind of big wins this past week, Dave and I reconvened to preview Michigan’s final top-10 matchup out of three straight — on Saturday at Michigan State. After beating Wisconsin on the road and Iowa at home, the Wolverines are rolling and riding high heading into a great matchup with the Spartans.

  • First, former Michigan captain and friend of the site Zack Novak joins us to talk about what he’s seen from the Wolverines thus far. As always, Zack’s analysis is informative and on point. He discusses Jordan Morgan’s resurgence, the rule changes, how John Beilein has constructed yet another high-powered offense, and he even gets in a dig at Spike Albrecht.
  • Later, Chris Vannini of the SB Nation Michigan State site The Only Colors hops on to address Saturday’s game. Chris provides us with some excellent analysis of the Spartans’ historic season thus far and puts this year’s team in the context of other great Michigan State teams of the Tom Izzo era.
  • Finally, Dave and I talk about the difference-making play of Spike Albrecht, how Michigan’s early-season losses on the road helped the Wolverines against Wisconsin and much more.

The songs were 9th Wonder and MF Doom. In order: Slippin’ (9th Wonder), Out of Town (9th Wonder), Agrimony (MF Doom), Peach Extract (MF Doom)
