Video: John Beilein, Caris LeVert and Derrick Walton address problems against Duke

John Beilein, Caris LeVert  and Derrick Walton were available to speak with the media today and even though Michigan is playing Houston Baptist tomorrow at noon, most of the questions understandably revolved around Michigan’s 79-69 loss to Duke on Tuesday. Beilein addressed Michigan’s tepid first-half offense and whether or not LeVert will be playing point guard in the future. You can watch the full interviews using the embedded media players below.

My take away from Beilein’s comments on the Duke game is that if a team is going to play a box and one (like Duke did) and face up on that other guy (Nik), there isn’t a whole lot that one guy (Nik) can do. It is up to the other 4 guys to play 4 on 4.

My issue with that theory is Walton isn’t going to be an explosive scorer. Get Irvin some more time somewhere.

Solid point. The lineup you’ve often espoused in your previous posts, is the one that IMO is going to give us the best chance to have a successful season.

These comments and evaluations are what is great about Beilein. He understands the game and knows you have to adjust and change in game and between games. Boy, I wish the offensive football coaches at UM would take notice.
