Video: Trey Burke NBA Draft workout

Dylan Burkhardt

Ty Kish and Slam Online’s Rodger Bohn were present at one of Trey Burke’s NBA Draft workouts last week. Burke, who opted to enter the draft after his sophomore season, is projected as a top five pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Chad Ford wrote this afternoon that multiple GMs have informed him that Burke could be the No. 1 pick in the draft if the Magic, Kings, Pelicans or Jazz end up with the first pick in the lottery.

  • Safe to say Trey Burke knows how to make a workout video..

Make sure D Walton gets this video…

    Have mercy!

  • DingoBlue

He will undoubtedly be missed. Funny to think that he will likely make more in one season than Darius earned in 2. I hope he does get drafted first, would be great for him and the program.

  • Northern Blue

This man is the real deal, Go Blue, Go Trey… This dude deserves a championship. True Winner. HAIL! Thank you Trey

If I was a GM, I wouldn’t want to be regretting the day I passed on this man. Trey Burke will not be stopped, even in the pros.

So proud of that kid. He has put in work and now he is going to reap the rewards. Watching this video makes me wish I could go back to that summer two years ago and get excited all over again over watching his high school workout videos.

i really hope he goes to utah, they are already a playoff team pretty much. or hornets young team with potential

  • Indiana_Matt

we…were…so…spoiled… Can’t wait to watch him in the league!

I’m still pissed that Detroit won 4 of their last 5 games and killed having a good shot at Burke. That’s a team that is screaming for a leader and a true PG.

  • Wayman Britt

That was a great workout. Trey is amazing.

I hope Nik and Caris are watching and put in those type of workouts this summer.

I already miss watching this kid play. I wish he could be a Piston, but whichever team he ends up on…..I will immediately become a fan. I have no doubt he will be a very good NBA player. Best of luck Trey!

  • David

I know Trey’s got better things to do than check blogs, but I hope he and his family know that we will be rooting for him next year even though he’s moved on from AA!

  • Nevin

It looks like he’s gotten better. Can’t wait to see him play in the NBA

Over at RealGM, some have posted that Burke is slow, that he is a bad finisher, and that he plays terrible defense. That’s not the Burke that I know. Do you all think any of these things are true–relative to the NBA? Are there damning statistics that show Burke to be lacking in any of those ways?
