Dylan Burkhardt

Class of 2015 forward Evan Boudreaux had two solid weekends during the April live evaluation period and most recently added offers from Iowa and Iowa State. UM Hoops was in attendance to watch Boudreaux at the King James Classic in Akron, watch the footage in the embedded media player below.

I want this guy. He seems like a player who will do anything you ask. Looks like he doesn’t mind getting physical. He can fill a role at UM. Sign him up.

I would normally want this guy, but the 2015 class is so loaded and we have legitimate interest from so many top guys I don’t know if we want to take him instead of others… we have serious, legitimate interest from Kennard, Coleman, Zimmerman, Bacon, Barefield, Davis and Edwards…. all of whom are probably more talented than him.. so it depends on how many spots we have available because if we have only 2-3 spots I don’t think you can take him with all the other talent that is out there

If they find a way to get to 4 scholarships then I’d be on board

        My sentiments exactly, Adam.

Seems to be primarily a spotup shooter at this point. From the limited film we’ve seen of him over the past few weeks, he doesn’t seem to have great footwork, and seems to be knocked off balance in the post with any contact. Limited to handling the ball with his right hand at this point as well.
As it stands right now, it seems that his game would be most effective at the 3 spot, however I don’t necessarily think he has the athleticism to play that position. I’m with Adam, I would take him as a backup plan, but with all the talented players that have interest in us from the 15 class, don’t know if he should be a priority.

I do not think we need to settle for a player of this caliber; with the program on the rise we should shoot higher.

The kid is still developing and its playing up an age group. Keep in mind that this video seems to not tell the whole story. Questionable “highlight” film when I was at the tournament and he killed it. Mark my words, this kid has the work ethic and skills to be better than anyone we have on our watch list at this moment. Would be stupid not to offer him now.
