Did SDSU really not sub at all for the first 17 minutes, like Lundquist said? That’s crazy.

    • Their bench played 11 minutes total in the Summit ‘ship, 12 minutes in the semis.

      • jemblue

I can see why we’re trying to push the tempo then. Got to be less sloppy on the break though.

  • Mattski

Does anyone see us coming out, asserting ourselves, and running away with the game? I wish I did.

    • jemblue

We actually have played well coming out of the half in most games this year.

    • MGoTweeter

      Sure

    • beingklauskinski

      I’m gonna second that wish

  • MLaw

Can’t believe I’m typing this: Trey Burke stop shooting so much in the second half please!

    • MGoTweeter

7 shots? I hope he takes at least thy many

      • I think he means to say: Trey Burke make more of your shots.

        • MLaw

I just don’t think he’s on his game tonight. If he only shoots the open ones, and not his typical contested floaters, then he has the green light again. I love that he has 5 assists and isn’t forcing his game this half.

  • jemblue

    Love the hustle by Nik.

  • MGoTweeter

    GRIII on fire.

  • Glenn Robinson III just hit three 3-pointers before the first 2nd half TO. He hit three triples since January 24th coming into the game.

  • jemblue

All these shot clock buzzer-beaters are getting annoying. Defensive effort is good, they’re just hitting some tough shots.

  • MGoTweeter

Just keep scoring. Michigan is not going to completely shut them down so cannot afford to have any long droughts

  • MGoTweeter

    Arg college timeouts

  • Mattski

Sensing a little toughness at the moment. Wonder can we maintain.

  • jemblue

All right Trey! Does this get him going?

  • MGoTweeter

Hearing that about Akron, I hope the coaches quarantined vogrich

  • D is so bad with Horford on the floor

    • MGoTweeter

He is really struggling with the ball screen

  • jemblue

    That’s not a foul?

  • MGoTweeter

We love you trey. Shake it off big man

  • CDeSana

Dylan how much foul language are you willing to tolerate from the same person?

  • Shyam Gopalakrishnan

His head did not hit the ground but that whiplash looked awful

  • DB

His head might not have hit. Could have hurt his neck in a whiplash type way.

  • CDeSana

    Timmy on FIRE!

  • jemblue

Whew. Thank goodness he’s OK. The team responded well to his brief absence, anyhow. Stauskas’s drive was big.

  • Boy it would be nice to have a comfy lead rest of way. Petal on the gas guys

  • MGoTweeter

Gonna be tough to put this team away. Must maintain poise on offense and keep gettin good shots

  • BlueBear_E

Man strength kept Trey’s head off the floor. IMO most players do hit their head in that situation. His head barely budges when his back hits the ground. Strength training is about injury prevention kids.

  • David

Robinson III might be playing himself into the draft tonight.

    • Indiana_Matt

Man, I hope not :) I want him to be the man next year. I think he needs to develop the “in-between” game. He’s got the 3 and the dunks, but if he works on his ball handling and improves the dribble drive like Hardaway did I think he’s first team all-american next year and sure fire lottery.

  • Mattski

They’re having to work pretty hard, now.

  • David

New level of athleticism Wolters isn’t used to. Dude’s got game though.

  • jemblue

McGary’s got a nice-looking shot. Not sure why he struggles so much at the line.

    • Adam St Patrick

      Too much thinking.

  • DB

Maybe McGary should jump on FTs

    • CDeSana

I think the guy from Wisconsin does it

  • Mattski

Can’t remember the last time when a lead reall FELT like a comfort zone, but–indeed–this one does.

  • MGoTweeter

If michigan does hold on, it’s pretty exciting considering how much Burke and stauskas struggled. Plus Morgan barely playing.

    • beingklauskinski

yes but timmy and glen scored theirs and then some

  • This game is such a prime example of the potential this team really has. If GRIII and McGary keep it up..watch out

  • MGoTweeter

Wth GRIii? Where was this shooting for the last month

    • Mattski

All YEAR. That is one deadly looking thing!

    • jemblue

I think he hit the dreaded freshman wall. Over it now though.

  • Mattski

    Yes.

  • jemblue

Great second half. This looks is the Michigan team of the first 2/3 of the season.

  • Good win fellas…see ya Saturday!

  • MGoTweeter

Woot. Rest up and get another on Saturday
