Former Wolverine Manny Harris signs in Ukraine

Ballin in Michigan digs up the story that former Michigan guard Manny Harris is headed to Ukraine.

International basketball website Sportando reports that former Michigan and Detroit Redford star Manny Harris has signed with a team in the Ukraine:

Azovmash Mariupol announced a deal with Manny Harris. The guard has played 26 games with the Cavaliers last season averaging 6.7ppg and 1.2apg.

In terms of other former Wolverines, DeShawn Sims will play this year in Lebanon while Courtney Sims will play in Korea. Last year’s captains, Zack Novak and Stu Douglass, are playing in Holland and Spain respectively.

    Hopefully Manny has a good season and can make it back to the NBA. Michigan used to have a lot of players in the NBA…I think we’ll eventually get back to that point.

      I’m a little surprised because it seems like he did all right when he got PT in Cleveland. I thought some other NBA team would give him a shot. Maybe next year?
