What’s not to like there? I think he’s the player I would want the most out of the 2014’s that Michigan has offered, although any (or all) of the 4 would be great additions.

Love his game but he seems more like a slasher/wing than a PF to me. I think he’d have a tough time defending the post in the Big 10…on the flip side, he’d be nice in the 1-3-1 and Donnal/Bates-Diop would be a tough frontcourt to defend

I agree seems more of a wing player. Would be a great addition to UM no matter what the position.

You mean as opposed to Zack Novak who is several inches shorter and WAY less athletic than this Sophomore in high school? Not to mention KBD is already far more skilled offensively. He’ll create more of a mismatch on offense at the 4 than Zack ever did.

      • jblair52

No – opposed to the Big 10. Just because he might be a “better fit” at the PF spot than Novak doesn’t mean anything – I’m talking about defending the post in the Big 10.

Thing is, he is not going to be defending the “post”. He will a 4, and rare is the B1G team that has two “post” players on the court. Christian Watford, Draymond Green, Robbie Hummel, and Deshaun Thomas are the type of player he would be matched against for the most part and these are guys who operate on the wing except for maybe Green. KBD would need to put on a few pounds, and he certainly will in the next couple years, but he can guard these guys, especially when you add in his athleticism which may be better than all of these guys.

I am pretty sure that Michigan is not the lonely big ten school that recruit him as a 4.

I know these are highlights, but the more I see him, the more I like his game and the more I want him to come to Michigan. If I were the decision-maker and had only one scholarship to give, he’s who I’d target.

The 2014 class will be another fantastic recruiting class for coach and program. Devin Booker and Keita Bates-Diop would be such an excellent class to have in 2014, or some other combination of players that coach is recruiting for 2014. Coach is definitely going after top 100 by many recruiting sites. It’s going to be exciting and extremely fun to watch who coach continues to bring in, to play at University of Michigan.

I think those two are definitely the best combination of the 4 we have offered so far. If I had to pick a 3rd I’d go with Tate cuz I think he brings something a little different to the table. I certainly wouldn’t complain if Bluiett committed though.
