Ha, this is the most random highlights video ever.

Anyone know (for sure) what position the staff wants him to play? He’s long enough for the 4 and would be an offensive mismatch but I don’t know if he’s strong enough to battle some of the Big 10 PF’s. He’d be a good 4 if we’re playing 1-3-1 or against a smaller lineup. Sure has a nice stroke and great things seen as a SOPHOMORE!

      He’s a 4 in our system without a doubt.

He has 2 and a half years to get stronger and maybe even a little taller. Donnal has put on 25lbs in less than half that time.

It doesn’t always work out well though…just ask Smotrycz

Different kinds of athletes. Snot was just too slow. He could pump fake a defender out of his shoes and still not beat the guy to the hole.

I don’t see why everyone has to knock Smotrycz now. Just cause he left doesn’t mean he wasn’t a good player. I think he could have been an All-Big Ten type player the next couple years had he stayed around. KBD and Smotrycz are not all that different types of players right now, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing by any means.

I did not mean to call Evan Snot BTW. I thought I edited that. I have no ill will towards him and wish him well at Maryland

Again – I’m sure the offensive side will be fine. I’m more concerned about the defensive side – being strong enough to handle guys in the post and rebound in the Big 10

He’s going to be a JR in HS, plenty of time to bulk up and get stronger.

          • jblair52

Sure – plenty of time if it can happen. I’m just concerned because he has a long, thin frame. It’s not like you could have added 25 lbs to Manny Harris just because. The body has to take it.

I like his game for a 10th grader. Sign him up.

Some insiders like to think our chances with Bates-Diop look pretty good, and don’t think it’s too outlandish that we don’t land both KBD and Devin Booker. Personally, I think once Bates-Diop takes a closer look at West Lafayette he’ll come around…
