Class of 2013 Michigan commitment Derrick Walton has had a big season at Chandler Park, averaging 25 points, seven assists, seven steals and seven rebounds per game, and is looking to carry that momentum into the postseason. Our friends at PrepHoopsTV put together these highlights from Walton’s season thus far.

This kid will make it big…just hope he stays all 4 years cuz I wanna be on the same court as him for a year …

High school head coach described Walton to me as a quicker version of Trey Burke.

Congrats D Walton. 25 7 7 7. Man somebody tell me who is doing that. I heard the boy has 4 triple doubles this year. If he is not a all state dream team selection, then I will know its politics. This kid is very talented.

He reminds me of Trey as far as being strong at the hoop

Impressive body control, fluidity. This was just the thing to remove any lingering bad taste from the Purdue loss.

Was trying to determine his height, wondering can he get those layups in the taller Big Ten. The link to him here gives his weight but NOT his height.

ESPN lists him as 6’0″, 165
      Rivals says 6’0″, 170

Thanks. Good to know where I can look in future, too.
