Zack Novak, Trey Burke and Stu Douglass all previewed Michigan’s match-up with Indiana earlier this afternoon. Listen to their comments in the embedded audio players below or read some choice quotes.
On a late road game posing problems… “No. We’re college kids so we’re used to doing things later at night. I don’t think it will be a big deal, it might actually benefit us.”
On Indiana… “It’s big. Especially in the Big Ten with the crowds that everyone has. We realize they are going to make runs but we just have to stay together and not let that get us all crazy.”
On the quick turnaround before Wisconsin… “It’s not something we’re focused on right now with such a big challenge tomorrow. It’s part of the business and everyone goes through it.”
On Minnesota performance… “It was a big win for us to get started out 2-0. It gives us a lot of confidence going into the Indiana game tomorrow.”
On his first Big Ten road game… “My teammates have said Indiana is one of the toughest places to play at on the road. Just looking at TV it looks pretty tough but we’re good against facing adversity and we’ve played against some talent this season, going to Maui.”
On facing Indiana in Indiana … “You try not to (view the game differently) but it is a little different. My family is there, my friends are there, even friends on the opposing team. It’s a little different but once you get between the lines its all the same.”
On playing at Assembly Hall … “There’s a lot of tough places to play in the Big Ten but Indiana is just a huge basketball state. Indiana and Purdue are the top two or three places to play. It doesn’t matter if the students are on winter break, everyone there is load and they really feed off that energy.”
