And I think Stauskas in particular is still underrated…it’ll be interesting to see how the ratings flesh out.  The thing I love most about Beilein recruiting is the high-character guys that he recruits.  Novak, Douglass, Morris, Hardaway, Burke, Brundidge, and Bielfeldt are all examples of this.

That is why I’m slightly nervous about recruiting Mitch McGary, because he’s a guy that has had grade problems in the past and is probably a one-and-done player.

I’m not worried about MM’s grades(that’s why he prepped, to work on that) or one and done. As good as he is, he’ll have to battle for PT with Morgan and maybe Horford. If he’s really got one foot in the NBA from day 1, he’ll go to Kentucky anyway.

I wouldn’t say that just because McGary has had some grade problems in the past and might be a one and done makes him a low-character guy. However, Beilein might have to change his recruiting tactics if Michigan is going to land McGary.

Jordan Dumars’ interview is a good read.  Seems like he is a very bright kid – I hope he has a chance to play some over the years.

Little Dog looks a lot like his dad in that picture, eyes and cheeks.

Mitch McGary just had to leave the Boost Mobile Elite 24 game in Venice Beach after breaking the backboard and suffering minor lacerations in warm-ups. I didn’t even know about this event until right before it was supposed to start., but it would have been cool to see a little of McGary. Get well soon, Mitch!
