Just a freshman at Grand Rapids Christian, Drake Harris is already drawing attention from high-major programs across the country. A smooth and explosive athlete, the 6-foot-3 Harris is physically on another level than most freshman. His basketball skills aren’t far behind as he shows the ability to score the ball efficiently inside and out. Indiana has already extended a scholarship offer and both in-state schools are heavily recruiting him. Harris is planning another visit at Ann Arbor this spring but rattled off Michigan State, Texas, UCLA, Purdue and Indiana, when asked for his top five schools. Here’s footage of Harris against the REACH Legends at the Spiece Run ‘n Slam.

Kind of shocking. I spent a lot of time watching and re-watching those games from the 90s when I was coming up. The big fella was great down low. Excellent hands and footwork.

Harris’ game reminds me of a Mr. Alex Legion a bit….his movement with the ball…how he runs and a bit in his crossover. I thought I read somewhere he loved UM? Now I see nothing but him growing up a MSU fan….was I rns of potentialeading someone elses info?

He looks great BTW…tons of potential

I have read that the Michigan staff has made a positive impression and that he grew up in a Michigan family

He said at Spiece that he grew up a Michigan State fan. He did say that Michigan has been recruiting him very hard though.

Wow only a HS freshman, he’s gonna be a good one!

I have a feeling this kid will give a verbal and then sign somewhere else…maybe verbal to MSU and then commit to UM? Wouldn’t that be funny.

Hopefully Darius Morris can get a contract before the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement expires. The league is proposing some big changes to contracts, such as a ban on fully guaranteed contracts and limits on guaranteed money.

I find that odd that there would be nothing on this blog about it. He was a really fun player to watch.

Are Tony Farmar and Devin Williams serious targets in the 13 class? Farmar recently said in a Rivals article that he has a Michigan offer and the big man Williams has been listing us for awhile and sounds like an intriguing prospect.
