Video: Beilein and Michigan Players Discuss Tennessee Win

We posted the transcript earlier but here’s video of the entire press conference (thanks to Josh Houchin).

  • Chris

@ the 5:35 mark, notice all the players giggle and put their heads down when vogrich gets asked a question.

    • UMHoops Fan

I think it’s because they asked about his emotions and Vogrich is obviously so emo!

    • Ryan

I noticed this too. Ha, did Hardaway even get asked a question? I skipped around a bit and didn’t come across one.

  • Champswest

Watching coach Beilein and those 5 guys sit there and answer questions just makes me so proud of the whole team. They are such great ambassadors for the school.
It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine.

  • Muralee

Where was the token question about Hardaway’s dad?

    • Dylan Burkhardt

The NCAA sent out a memo, all token questions have to surround the Duke/Michigan/Fab Five/Jalen Rose/Grant Hill controversy.

      • Devin

        Haha, good call.

Watched some of the Duke game, and I don’t think we’re going to be able to do some of the things we did against Tennessee. Particularly, there is some referee discretion as to a charge call. I think Duke is going to get the blocking call more than most teams. I will be honest I felt, and I imagine most people who weren’t Duke fans felt the same certain way about those great Duke teams. From a pure winning perspective (and Belein would never do this) I wouldn’t mind seeing some D-Mo swagger and really it wouldn’t bother me to take a psychological shot by giving Nolan Smith a hard foul. Everyone is aware of the token Fab Five documentary beef. Duke is viewed as the “good guys” they never do a naughty. If they were a superhero they would be Captain America.

  • JD

MICHIGAN vs. doook will be around a 3pm start, according to Andy Katz.

    • Beast1530

We’ll find out because I’ve read and heard conflicting reports.

Yahoo has Michigan/Duke game at noon.
      Freepwolverine tweeted 2:30
      Now, Katz with 3:00.

I’m hoping for primetime because I’ll be gone for most of the day….

      • Sarah

According to ESPN tip is 2:45

  • Devin
  • ZRL

Michigan just went from 40 to 26 on kenpom!

  • Kainkitizen

I believe Stu’s Dunk was #2 for him in his playing career at Michigan. He had a dunk in his freshman year. Does anybody remember which team that was against. I believe it was very similar to today’s dunk. If someone can find youtube video of it, post it so we can watch this 6’3″ boy dunk!! That was so much fun watching Stu dunk today!!! I think Stu has more dunks then Zack Novak now.

    • fitey

that was the NCAA tourney game against Clemson fast break two handed flush.

notice in the video highlight how much dribble penetration by Harris opened up the 3-ball? We have 2 excellent slashers coming in next year should see 3pt fg% go up.

and to clarify, i only mean the amount of content you guys put up is amazing. So much so that I usually have a hard time keeping up with all the new content!

      BEAT DOOK

    • MaizeNBlueJ

I don’t normally ready Free Press stuff, but that was actually entertaining. The bit comparing the Volunteers having trouble with the 1-3-1 to a baby having trouble with calculus had me LOL’ing.

What’s a good Duke blog? I googled for one, but there’s a gungazillion and I’m too lazy to sift through them. Just curious what they’re saying. I promise I’ll come right back.
