Tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network. The biggest storyline from the Iowa side is that the Hawkeyes will be playing on just 41 1/2 hours rest as they lost on Thursday night at Northwestern. As always, we encourage you to join the discussion in the comments before, during, and after the game.

Bad game, Michigan didn’t play well in the first half, but Iowa didn’t take advantage to put the game away early. Bad refing calling all touch fouls and no charges. Just a terrible group of refs. The announcers were terrible too. Jimmy Jackson I never noticed how awful he was before until this game. A win is a win 17-11 overall and 7-8 in the Big Ten. Now we need to beat MSU the last game of the year and split with Wisconsin and Minnesota and that will get us to 19-12 overall and 9-9 in the Big 10. Win 1 in the Big Ten tourney and we are 50/50 on the bubble IMO. Win 2 and we are in the dance. I think we definitely need to beat Wisconsin more so than Minnesota though for a nice quality win.

Nothing bad about a win on the road.

Maybe it’s just old memories but I always thought Iowa was a tough place to win at so I am happy we got the W.

There are still things to work on. I really hope Smot’s confidence can be found. He just looks lost out there lately.

I also hope Zack can find his J again. He still provides value but we need him to be where he was 2 or 3 weeks ago when he was knocking down almost everything.

17-11 still puts us in the conversation. The Wisconsin game will be HUGE.

    GO BLUE!

The interesting question is who do we want to win tomorrow PSU or Wisconsin? PSU beating Wisconsin may make them a top 50 RPI team. It’s a nice feeling when your team controls their own destiny to some extent.

Gotta beat Wisconsin Wednesday – I don’t think we can make the tourney unless we get a win over one of the top-3 teams in the Big Ten. Selection Committee places a premium on quality wins, and beating Iowa like this doesn’t really do anything positive, just keeps a stain off the resume.
