Here’s some video of Darius Morris, Jon Horford and Tim Hardaway Jr. talking about Michigan’s 75-64 victory over Utah. Also remember to keep an eye on the new sidebar ad — highlights from recent Michigan games will be displayed there throughout the season. Morris and Hardaway are after the jump.

I did not like when Horford said the 3 is a big part of his game. He has a nose for the ball; I want him in the paint.

Love the win, love the performance, but really dismayed to hear the words “Coach Beilein doesn’t let us throw ally-oops.” Sorry, but WTF is that? I’m not asking for a Harlem Globetrotters circus or anything, not asking for anyone to haul out a trampoline, but seriously, even a tyrant like John Thompson III lets his boys throw down a few mean and nasty jams now and then… our long-suffering fans deserve no less.

Plus, I wouldn’t want to send any high-flying prospects the message that the occasional, backboard-shattering, 720-degree, reverse, triple-pump tomahawk jam would be forbidden at Crisler. Not cool.

I think the issue is more.. who is going to finish the alley oop?

        • mgocanada

Dylan, good point, I hadn’t thought about that. You got me there.

But, as a historical question: did Manny and DeShawn ever connect on one during their JB years? Cause they could’ve pulled it off easy.

The answer is yes, and I can think of plenty that were thrown. Peedi had small hands and isn’t nearly the athlete Harris was, so I think you could say that Harris was really the only guy you’d want to throw one to on the roster the last couple years.
