From Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal.
So, I guess the Cavaliers with their “Princeton offense” and insistence on playing defense as mentioned in the linked article is a good fit for one of Beilein’s boys. All the best to Manny!
Wow just looked at the link in the above comment, and Manny was one of the few players who actually was shown in a positive light… looks like the best case scenario for our man.
solid…now i gotta scrounge up 75 bucks to get a jersey
Seriously, if anybody sees a Manny jersey, post it on here.
hell yeah! lebron who?
Excellent. Good for Manny, good for program. Hard to think Manny without thinking of Peedi. Looks like his first game is Saturday, I think…
rivals with coach B on position battles:
Somebody who understands these things–that means he’s an official member of the team to start the season? And he’s on some kind of minimum salary, or does he start negotiating now? Under what circumstances would he get cut, demoted, whatever? Do players just come and go over the course of a season?
Joe will have some stuff from media day later tonight. Sorry it’s a little later than expected.
We were both caught up in some stuff.

youth will be served:
Congrats to Manny for making the team. He did it despite not playing in the summer league with a sprained ankle. Judging from the box score, he is scoring in an efficient rate. He’ll be good coming off the bench to provide immediate offensive punch(not sure how Byron Scott will use him during the regular season). Manny’s game is made for NBA and the spacing is wide open compared to college level. He’ll be able to drive and score/dish.
Looks like the starting line-up will be:
Maybe Horford(IMO, he’ll get a redshirt due to his development and body)
Michigan is a deeper team, on paper. The question is who can provide a consistent scoring punch. They may surprise a lot of people but they’re not a NCAA tourney team yet.
Not sure I understand the AA.com article–particularly regarding the big man rotation section. Brian W/Dylan?
Hope that Manny will make the final cut and Cavs will extend him a meaningful contract.
From the Beilein interview on Rivals, seems that Morris is struggling right now as Beilein has little confidence in his shooting. It also concerns me that McLimans needs to unload some weight.
