I agree on the importance of Trey. Trey will help Manny next season (I’m assuming that he’ll be back) and can grow with Hardaway and Evan. He’ll also help open the eyes of other recruits, helping to attract Williams, Gilchrist or another big guy next year.

Thanks for the update on recruiting Dylan.

UM is showing interest in some good players, but to truly be a top tier team in the Big Ten and to compete against the recruits MSU, OSU and UI is bringing in, Beilein has to get Trey Zeigler.

We don’t need any more role players or projects. We need a NBA type player. Trey would florish under Beilein.

Nice find Brian W and yes, it seems like Ant won’t be back. A tweet from the hoops team said Sims, Wright, and Gibson would be honored tomorrow night.

That means there should be 3 more scholarships to give, assuming Cronin is indeed finished, along with Smotrycz and Hardaway. Giving out all three would mean that they couldn’t take anyone else in the class of 2011 though.

Will be interesting to see if Amir Williams or Horford are in the house tomorrow night for Minnesota.

I don’t think I’ve seen any video links posted for Mat Piotrowski. If you’re curious, here’s some links.

He plays with his back to the basket quite a bit in the Apex game. The practicing video shows that he has a good shot. The last video doesn’t show much really since his team doesn’t feed him the ball much.

FWIW, I think Ant has a little kid. Given that he’s probably not going to be playing pro ball, it’s probably in his best interests to venture out into the job market. Aside from other reasons why they might not give him another year, I’m sure that’s a big one.
