Wow. Heard this morning on the radio that Manny said he was coming back next year, but was at a client all day so didn’t know any details. This sounds sketchy at best. He may be back, but I’m not sure last night’s comments shed much light on the situation.

Do Northwestern fans all worry about their starting 5 going pro after this year because at least four of them looked way better than Manny last night? Is this just a Michigan thing? I don’t understand why someone not projected as a first round pick would be constantly bombarded with question about going pro.

I’d think Zeigler would have a shot at a couple positions next year if Manny stays or not. Nobody is locking up the 1 or 2 and its possible he could play either. I want Manny to stay, in part because I think it’ll improve his draft status, and part to see him play better and make us winners. What I want is secondary to hoping for the best for him.

Agreed, Dylan. Let’s not get all “woo hoo! Manny’s staying,” or lament the fact that Zeigler’s potential frosh minutes next year would all but evaporate. Whichever way you’d view Manny Harris staying, this heat of the moment statement should not be given much credence. Not that the kid doesn’t mean what he says, but no one should call him a flip flopper if he goes.

The only other thing I’d say is, either way, kid, finish your degree.

Great post Dylan. I want Manny to do what’s right for Manny. Ultimately recruits need to see that we support our players and want them to make the decisions that are right for them. As Aran pointed out even if Manny has not had the best season maybe it is time for him to go if Manny and Coach Beilein feel he can only improve his game at the next level.

I really hope Peedi gets to the NBA. Tonight was not a great performance but his overall body of work has been great on a so-so team.

I am really disappointed with how the team played tonight (considering not going to Wisconsin) but hope they win enough games to make the NIT. Maybe they can do all right in the BTT also.
