I’m in the Maize Rage and I regretfully had to rush the court, not because I wanted to but because I got pushed on. I didn’t think it was a big enough win to do so, but there are so many first-time ticket-holding bandwagoners that they all felt they had to. You’d be amazed at the lack of knowledge of the majority of the people in the student section. It’s very disappointing sometimes. Having said that, it’s a big win to get us back on the right foot.

BlueinFlorida, do you spend much time in Crisler? Section 26 was on its feet, old fart, children, you name it. Not the people in the UConn gear, though.

Loving the victory today it was a must have to salvage the season. Thank You Anthony Wright for contributing, Novak for playing his ass off, Peedi for boarding and for Manny being Manny late in the game. Go Blue!

with 2500 student ticket holders (many 1st time ticket holders), it was kind of expected….my guess is many people saw the Duke game last year and wanted in. There were a good number of students who did not rush it, but the numbers make it tough…but on a positive note, Great win! intensity was awesome…LLP worked his butt off…and good for Anthony Wright, I thought he had earned some more 2nd half PT, but I guess Beilein stuck with Novak and it paid off downt the stretch!

Manny didn’t shoot the ball well, but his aggressiveness kept constant pressure on UConn. Plus, he grabbed some rebounds (8) and remained active on defense.

Great to see Novak, Douglas, Gibson, and Wright step up.

I can’t say much about storming the court because I stormed the kitchen. My pizza was done and I nearly tackled my pregnant wife in the process. That could’ve put a damper on a great day.

Amidst the almost depressing “atmosphere” that is Crisler Arena these days, I salute the student section. They make up 95% of the noise in the building while the rest of the fans just sit there and watch. Even with all the old farts sitting on their hands, the students made Crisler intimidating today and really gave this team a lift. Props to the students today, rushing the court or not.

I’m with Lundquist. We beat a team that was already perhaps falling out of the top 25 after back to back losses. It was a sloppy game and our chances of the NCAA are still non-existent. Have fun, celebrate the win, but storming the court was stupid in my opinion.

So, I still don’t want to give up hope that this team can make a run at the tourney. I know it is a big longshot at this point still. But this UCONN win certainly helps. I figure we need to go 9-4 the rest of the way plus 1-2 wins in the BTT to have any shot at the tourney…is this about right?

I’m going to agree with Kevin here. Let the kids have some fun. Would I have done it? no, but I’m not going to come down too hard on them.
