To answer MaizeNBlue2’s question at the very top, you can purchase the game for $2.99 on BTN.com and rewatch it anytime as an archived game. I just watched it a third time, and here are my observations on the two freshmen who got a lot of minutes:

Darius Morris: Certainly as good as the hype merits. Though on offense he looked a bit tentative with his shot, I’d attribute that to being a n00b to Beilein’s offense. His dribble penetration looks good, and he looked comfortable running this offense from the point. I was most impressed, however, with DMo’s defense. Absolutely stifling and high energy from start to finish, though you can tell he’s still getting a feel for the 1-3-1.

Vogrich: has got a ways to go. His shot wasn’t falling, and his defense was really not that impressive. He really struggled on both sides of the ball. I’ve heard this kid has a pure stroke, and I’d love to see it sometime.

Thank God we have basketball to fall back on. Have you ever seen a worst football defense? What’s worst is that UM has nobody in the pipeline who can beat out our current safeties. That’s pathetic.

It’s all about basketball now after today’s football game. Basketball has been #1 sport for myself and football a close 2nd. Now I don’t even want to watch football. Basketball is here and It’s all about basketball for the next 5 months.

i cant remember the last time the defense was as bad as it has been this year…….maybe hasnt been this bad in my life time 24 yrs

McLimans got in the game at the very end with the other backups.

Morgan didn’t dress after a set back with his knee.

Morris showed some dribble penetration but didn’t really try to penetrate much honestly.

Sheehey hasn’t visited Ann Arbor yet, I believe he was visiting Bloomington this weekend or the next.

And Michigan football makes me want to cry.
